I tell you now, the day before I heard this song, I hated myself so much I wanted to drop out of university. Hearing the gospel through this song turned my life right around! I am now serving Him in Bulgaria, Western Europe, wherever my Lord takes me!

We sang this as the final hymn/song at my (earthly) father's funeral. The church was packed by a wide range of people holding their various views on life and faith. Afterwards many commented to me that they felt uplifted, and strengthened. This is, indeed, a powerful worship song.

Thank you for this song. The story of our Lord. Beautifully written from the heart with a lovely melody. I was told by a man of faith that it 'encompasses everything'. It shows Christ's great love and sacrifice and that whoever we are we are loved and accepted. As or me that is so important as I am fragile in my feelings but I don't have to rely on them but on the Lord. It's taking many years to get that into my mind. X

We must understand that God's wrath is a Holy wrath brought about by His being a just God! Whether we believe in His or not, justice must be served because we have sinned against Him. But this is what makes God's attributes perfect because He is also a loving God who does not want to see His children receive their rightly deserved punishment and His answer? He sent his son to take our place! All of God's attributes (his being just, his mercy, his grace and his love) all meet at the cross!
