cant grip the filter and slipping oil filter wrench, and don't want the mess from driving a screwdriver through, try a lillte emory cloth between the filter and wrench. works like a charm.

Should never be tightened that tight in the first place...

Was waiting for the sudden screwdriver. Albeit that works too I guess

Ah yes, I usually sand the entire filter off, but this is cleaner

A screw driver thru the side still works in stubborn situations

Superglue some 120 grit to the inside of that strap wrench when you buy it.

Matco claw for the win. I’ve had the band wrench squeeze them and still wouldn’t move. Claw and a breaker bar has worked every time for me.

Slip resistant latex gloves work for grip and twisting oil filters off

I have a matco claw wrench that works even in tight spaces like that on the GM engines. Its tight but will get it out unless its stuck, stuck. Also have a set of band wrenches that have fine teeth on the band so they don't slip.

I like the strap filter wrenches with 3/8 and 1/2 drive bar on one end. Fits any filter plus good for a ton more uses.

I’ve always liked the cap style oil filter wrenches best 🤷🏻

Just glue the sand paper or emery cloth to the inside of your 3$ cheepo oil filter wrench and go use it for 30 years like I did. You don't need snap-on, you need to snap out of it....

i would invest in the spring styled oil filter wrenches for ratchets, fairly cheap and work like a dream.

Many screw drivers have I stabbed through lol

I always use one of the universal ratchet attachment oil filter wrenches with multiple jaws that grip tighter the harder you need to turn it. Have yet to find one that it doesn't work on.

Thanks man. Good idea. Don’t forget to twist it off with a solo cup to catch the oil bro.
