Stuck Tractor Pull

Real footage of Amsteel Blue rope pulling a stuck 4 wheel drive tractor from a rice field. Case 9330 with duals was hipping rice levees when he got buried in the gumbo. He broke his cable and barge rope then called for Amsteel Blue. A single piece of 3/4" Amsteel Blue rope, with the help of two four wheel drive tractors pulled him out. It was 90 feet from dry gound to the tractor. The rope that pulled his tractor out weighed 10 pounds plus 6 pounds for the steel eyes.

Ah, cool beans! Er, I mean rice... LOL! Dude, I need some of that tow rope for keepin' in my pickup truck, just for stuck times like these... Now I know what to ask for this Christmas!

Thanks for your comments, whether they are valid or not. This rope has near zero retained energy doe to near zero stretch. It's properties cause it to be self dampening, so if it does break, it absorbes it's own energy a falls to the ground. It is safe to use, unlike steel cable. We still recommend maintaining a safe distance while using it. Which I was.

@volff130 I'd mount a deuce and a half military winch right on the front, say it has 25,000 lbs of pull,put a snatch block on it and thats 50'000 or 25 tons of steady pull not peak pull while jerking ,or mount the whole thing on a trailer that my truck could pull close. you could also use an anchor.

Lol I watched this because I got a tractor stuck yesterday. I was at a friends house. its a 4 wheel drive John Deer 430 and I thought I couldn't get it stuck. I ended up driving it through a mud hole, and buried it axle deep

From looking at the tracks in the field, it appears they drove in circles trying to get stuck. This must be an advertisement for the blue steel cable.

love it! thats how you use a rope. Don't hit the clutch till it's about 1/2 thick, and you better be quick on the brakes:-)

Initial snatch type of extraction seen in the video with an HMPE rope will shock load the rope and/or attachment point. Not recommended.

Just because you claim you "were" a mechanical engineer clearly doesn't mean you've been keeping up on new developments. Go watch some break point tests of Amsteel Blue. This rope is unreal.

the guy with the camera had no brains standing where he was i don't care what sort of rope or cable it was with that much stress on it if it had snap it would have cut him in half i am a retired mechanical engineer and have seen a lot the worst was a brand new 3inch cable with only about 3/4 as much strain put on it snap a tear the top off a toyota 4x4
