Time waits for no man. People experience two main reactions with our technology. The first is regret that they didn't use it sooner and they will never be without it again.

Wow, loved this video. I bought all the DIY plans that AcousticFields give and since I didn't have the carbon technology I didn't make them. Seeing that he put insulation in them and they still gave him big results that right there totally motivates me to make them!!! Of course the Carbon Technology would be the best but right now they are out of my budget and shipping them here to Puerto Rico must cost a small fortune. Thanks Dennis for uploading this video. There is still hope for my home recording studio.

The cabinet determines the resonant frequency of the unit or how low it will absorb down to. The internal fill material inside the cabinet determines the rate of absorption or how much energy is absorbed at each octave band and how much is absorbed for every surface area square foot of the unit. If you are using a limp mass material type cabinet fill, stay with one that has a density of at least 5 lbs. / sq. ft. Our carbon technology improves performance by 40% per unit which means you can build 2 carbon units for every 3 built with a limp mass fill material type. Run the numbers. With the cost of materials today, it is best to build less units and get greater performance.

I have the plans as well. And as a european the metric system also makes an issue and the dampening materials will also differ as you need to find alternatives.. I need alternative additions to the BDA as i was also focusing on.

Yes. You are correct. The reason you don't hear it more often is because the current state of the art offered by most is a miserable at best attempt to achieve rate and level. Once achieved even in DIY fashion, it is never forgotten. Wait until we do the next video replacing the high density building insulation with our carbon technology. Get ready for a new low end reference system in your life. One that is as articulate below 100 Hz. and it is above that number.

@@AcousticFields Don't hear it often? I hear it all the time! DIY treatment offers off the chart value. The work has been performed and published, all the info is available. Unfortunately, to treat small rooms for low frequency management, we must make the room smaller. Our Carbon Panels start at 40 Hz. and are 12" deep. The ACDA series starts at 30 Hz. and is 16" deep.

I’m glad you could do all this with a more affordable method. It must have been a tough call financially. If you buy what you need to fix the room at that NYC address, you can’t afford to pay the rent at that address. But, if you move to a more affordable address for a better room, you can afford to fix the room but you don’t have the proximity for your music business.

Since this project began, the cost of almost any construction materials has gone up dramatically. We are seeing 40% + increases in some material types. Most rooms require at least 8 BDA units. If you use our carbon technology, you only need build 2 units with carbon for every 3 units without carbon.

As someone who lives in Latin America, investing in ACDAs or even DIY BDAs (with carbon tech) has been bassically imposible, so, seeing that I can achieve similar low end perfomance by buying the DIY plans and using building insulation instead of carbon makes me really happy. Anyways I understand that I would need to craft a lot More units to get decent results by using the insulation, but the thing is that I can buy everything I need locally, which reduces the costs massively, for putting things in perspective, the amount of carbon needed to fill one BDA costs around 300usd (if I remeber correctly) and with that much money you could get all the materials to build arround 3 BDAs from scratch, once again, by using building insulation and by buying the materials locally.
