That's kind of greedy, French house has left its mark on pop music as whole. Hiphop is as dead any past musical movement, anything original has been distilled into market ready product. Its fashion, few things of a genre, even if they were artistically the strongest will last the test of time.,

@@chinogambino9375 How is this "greed"? If anything, it would be the exact opposite if I'm wanting millions more to hear to it. French house is a genre that not even a lot of people in the "EDM" scene know about despite it being a gorgeous EDM subgenre that was created well before the like of the progressive house, electro, & dubstep you hear today. And Hip-Hop is the most popular and growing music genre there is right now. Globally at that too. Sure it's not composed of the same substance bit was when it originated back in the 70s, but it's still growing in popularity and influence within mainstream entertainment and culture. Going back to French House, it wouldn't hurt to bring back for many more to listen to. Give new or most casual music listeners something a little different to listen to.

If you don’t mind me askin - why did you stop playing or listening to music? I feel like same thing is happening to me. I used to play instrument (piano) and was good in music theory. Also did free hand and technical drawing. I don’t know how to do any of that now. I pursued a career in mathematics (PhD) and I am now slowly losing interest in collecting house music and playing it. I am more drawn to jazz and I find it odd.

​@@Huios1000 well, I don`t think I`ll be much of help on the matter, since I`m not sure myself. The idea of people getting tired of music with age always sounded ridiculous to me, but then it happened, rather suddenly. I also have a subsequent theory - I might be only prolific with the music, when I`m unhappy. like, right after break-up, melancholic, self-pitying and such. Since I`m in a serious relationship now - I might have traded my musical inspiration for that. Subsubsequent theory would be that I`m lazy and not challenge and/or inspire myself enough. Subsubsubsequent theory would be that I just turned 42. Albeit being an awesome number, my awe of the world around me might be in decline. (Everything is futile, basically)

If I can add my answer, I went through this and I am slowly recovering. I'd say the biggest factor is that I was always listening to the same songs and the same genres. I think in the end I was bored and needed change. Like, I discovered House music around 2015-2016 and I've always spent a huge time listening to it and even making my own house tracks. But I've come full circle and needed change. So I started listening to Jazz, Bossa Nova, and other styles and it felt like the same as what I felt when I discovered House back in 2015. Now I can appreciate House again and all those new songs and genres. I also gave myself the permission to listen to genres I was forbiding myself to listen and it felt great not gonna lie. Anyway, all of this to say that music is much more than music. If you're passionate about music, then it's not like other people. When you're passionate, music should be understood as a trip, a road that you're walking on and discovering everytime you take the time to discover something new. @@SOMEHANDSOME It's this reason why I listen to a bunch of music genres to get variety and such. I used to listen to pop, adult contemporary, oldies/decades music, and heck, even orchestra music. So seeing DJs have orchestras in front of them makes it more exciting than just DJs on the stage if you ask me. Because I played the trombone back in elementary and middle school, but stopped in high school in favor of choir (which I've done choir much longer than band did up until senior year in my high school class).
