why this unuseful and bad sentence? I think that it could be right to talk about any eventual mistake in mixing or bad selection, but this kind of observation about the person seems stupid, i don't see any value added. Probably beeing anonymous bring to say stupid things..

I'm in my 50's and have been in the House scene for a looooooong time. It's amazing that because of DJ's like Bob and the Defected label that I'm still lovin' it after all these years! Love to all of you House-Heads wherever you are in this world. #HouseMusicAllLifeLong indeed! God made me phunky and I'm blessed He made me this way........

Right there with you! I was all over the 90s rave and underground scene in San Francisco, which had a deeply funky vibe I can still feel :) Though I may not dance much these days (must fix that!) electronic beats of many sorts are still very much a part of my life. And will be for the rest of it, I suspect...

@@soleus333 San Francisco, Paul. I imagine it was a pretty wild time back then given the reputation the city has! My stomping ground was over here in the UK, Edinburgh to be precise. We used to travel all over the country in my friends beat-up car. We'd choose our destination by looking through a DJ magazine (Mixmag) and looking for the club ads to see who was playing. Leeds in England was a firm favourite as it was a 24hr city back then. Clubs like Ronson, Mint, Basics were all amazing. Up in Scotland we'd go to the Sub-Club and Arches in Glasgow and the Colours events in Edinburgh. Our summers were mostly spent in Ibiza, Spain. Amazing people, amazing music, amazing times and amazing we're still here in one piece!! God Bless House Music...

@@grant4980 Ah yes, as it happens San Francisco at the time (and perhaps still) had a lot of people from the UK there, and I spent the summer as an intern in London in ’92, so Mixmag was a regular presence there as well, and I’m familiar with much of those places you mentioned :) I remember at the time wondering if UK people had a lisp, given they said Ibeethur haha…I would soon learn that was the correct pronunciation. It was just last week that I was at the library here in Utrecht, Netherlands with my boy, there was a machine that thermal printed a short story on a lonnnng piece of paper, which led to me telling him of back in the day, pre smart phones, pre internet, I’d get my driving directions to an event via a machine at the corner store that would print them up on a similarly proportioned long skinny sheet of paper, using a dot matrix printer haha… One anecdote encapsulates San Francisco at the time pretty well…they were having an opening celebration for an art installation on an abandoned building called Defenestration (meaning throwing things out the window) where furniture appeared to be crawling down the side of the building, etc. There were faux super heroes and villains swinging across the facade, people holding cardboard PAFF! KAPOW! etc signs as they battled. Along with this was a circus, likewise doing aerial acts across the face of the building. At one point the MC says, “Brace yourselves people for the freakiest freak of them all, a man with NO tattoos and NO piercings!! (a theatrical gasp goes up from the crowd) The rave and underground scene was very inclusive, warm, an connected. The music always had a more funky, psychedelic feel to it. Not in a 60s way, but hmm, something undefinable. Playful.

@@grant4980 Seems San Francisco is in the air for me this week, someone this morning replied to a comment I'd made a couple years ago on a recording of what was my absolute favourite mixtape from the peak early 90s era. hi monsieur bob sinclar. matching your diana ross shirt would be to play dimitri from paris "love hangover" remix. idk if it has the french house touch, but it's a classic gem. i love french HOUSE. except of your commercial succesful hit in this mix, this is clearly an amazing underground HOUSE music selection and a real deep and dope dj set. i'd say, you're definitely the no.1 french HOUSE master. peace and love to the world.

Finally found the edit Bob is playing, well sort of, "Motorbass - Ezio (Shatalov Edit)". It's the same beat but a slightly different edit. Can't locate Bob's version but this edit is close.
