One thing that is pretty important but also overlooked in most speaker placement tutorials i have seen so far is the right size of your positioning triangle, so i hope ican make some useful additions here: you want to place your monitors in an equilateral triangle with a side length that is around three times the longest distance between any of the drivers (center to center) on your monitors, so you can perceive the sound as a single sound source. On the other hand you don't wanna get much further away from your speakers, because the further away you get, the less direct signal and the more room signal will be received.
