Studio of Chaos!

After watching Jamaison Schuler’s videos of his studio before renovating I thought why not share my chaotic mess of a space! Keepin’ it real lol! I need a couple of weeks of vacation just to clean and organize. Or win the lottery so I can retire… one can dream, right?
Also the birch tree tutorial I mentioned is from a Sarah Miller and I highly recommend it. Very easy to follow and lots of photos and ideas. She is on Facebook as SarahMillerArt.
By the way, thanks ‪@JamaisonSchuler‬ for inspiring me to work on my space!

I think we need an apron with who needs organising when I can be playing!! Look at all those treasures. I’m in awe

Glad to see someone else has "organized" chaos! In my 10' x 10' studio there's only room left for me--and even then stuff has to be moved to work. Thanks for sharing.

Mine is about the same size. It would be helpful to see what other people do with small studio spaces, how to maximize space.

It’s like you have to start with more space and all the organization gear you need (cabinets and shelves etc.) and then grow into it. Like many I started with a small amount of stuff… then it just grew over time and I kept spreading out throughout the basement!

I think one key is making use of vertical space. I just ordered the 12-pan bakers racks (2 of them) and 24 full sheet pans and will start by organizing my casting molds. Will see if they end up using all the shelves lol!

You’re welcome and thank you! I didn’t amass it overnight for sure but over time it’s expanded for sure! I’m just justifying it as an investment so when I retire from the corporate gig I’m pretty well set.

Oh my gosh, that is a lot of wonderful things. I don’t think you are so disorganized. I see someone who is creating and having a hard time time straighten up. I can relate.

I have the same Jen kin. I need a bigger one too. I don’t have any space. Not after trying to clean it up. I do have items that need to go in the shed. Then I may be able to start making again.

The organizing takes away from the fun time! But worth it when done! I’m still not done!

I think I could too! Every time I think “here’s one I never use, I should sell it” then I think “but it’s not like they’re going to go bad just sitting there!”
