My grandfather was also a Sufi. His famous Sufi poetry book "Isk Ahwal" is full of love and search for Almighty Allah & Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him. I haven't seen him but has listened from my family & people about him and his depth in Sufism. And that thing makes me to love him more than anyone in my family.

I think the couplet should read as follows and not as it was rendered by the Maestro: مارٕمتہ مارکن منز مندچھاوتس ' مارٕ پان یارٕ میانی بوزُتھ نہ زانھ تاوِ منُز لٔاجتھس ھارٕ نس تاوس ' ژۓ یارٕ شؤبی مُبارک Mari Meti Markan Menz Mandchawthus, Mare Paan Yare Maine Boozuth Ne Zanh. Tawei Menz Logthus Haar Niss Tawus, Czhe yarre Shoobei Mubarrak. O, my love! you have put me to shame in public places, I shall kill myself, my beloved, you never listened to me. You have put me in the frying pan ( Taew), in the heat of summer (Haar) You, my friend, are entitled to my thanks. (transliteration by the commenter) I have not found the intensity of love of this kind in any verse in any language so far. See the choice of Kashmiri words which can be understood by our generation ( those who are born in 50's). Mark the words. 'markan menz' - public places that are crowded : 'Mandechawtus'- putting somebody to utter shame: ' Tawi Menz lajthus' - putting in the frying pan: 'Harr nis tawus' the burning heat of summer (Harr- 21st June to 30th. July). Shah Qalander alone can do it. The entire poem or whatever you call it has been said in the praise of the Beloved, which in this case could be The 'Murshid' of Shah Qalander or the Absolute ( walla-hu-Alam). How can anybody, who understands the poem, not get into ecstasy? These are the moments when one is transported, on the wings of ecstasy, to unbelievable levels of consciousness that unites you with your true self- One consciousness. We will meet again on the topic. Till then Khuda Hafiz. I am short of words on the rendering of this mystic piece by Maestro Mr. Sufi. may Allah reward him for keeping our identity alive through his melodious voice and love for mysticism. His renderings are a constant, sustained and eternal source of extreme joy and happiness for an innumerable number of Kashmiris, I included. He is yet to be relived by someone of his calibre.
