hey i am currently a first year student in Canada at university of Moncton located at Moncton , new brunswick , and i got an acceptance for george brown college in toronto for the winter intake and i am gonna apply for a new study permit as you said , in the mean time can i start my programme at george brown college ? and would i face any problems with changing my study permit ?

If I am changing my course of study at the same DLI before entering Canada, do I need to inform IRCC and submit a new application? Or just send a web form, or not even send a web form? Would this cause any issues if I show up at the POE with a new LOA if I hadn't informed IRCC already about it?

Let's say you get a study permit to go to a particular school in Canada. After you arrive, you visit another university campus and decide you'd prefer to go there instead. Here's the question: Can you change schools without applying for a new study permit, as long as you stay in the same province? And can you do it right away, even before starting classes at the first school?

Hello Thank your for the information you share I have a question, what should someone have to do if: 1.- has a LOA for spring with English proficiency condition and is changed for next intake Fall 2.- and the person decides to Pay and start an English pathway by the same DLI in spring where the LOA for the diploma was issued. 3.- the person has port of entry and visa student and her daughter has a worker visa

In such case, go ahead with the study permit application but let IRCC know you have a visitor visa application in process. It is known as the DUAL INTENT in the immigration regulations. IRCC do have a lot of backlogs so they may not get back to you anytime soon. If you have gotten admission already and you have the offer letter and confirmation of the Web form then you can travel with it with those evidence and show it at the port of entry if required.

The time frame depends on the school in question. The fact that you are already in Canada and on an existing study permit is a good thing so the school you will apply to can admit you with the same processing time as local students. You have to try and know.

Good Day Urgent help needed please. I am in Canada and I have a study permit. I want to study the same program, but in a different college. I have an acceptance letter from the second college. The program begins on 1/8/2024 in both colleges. I want to inform IRCC that I changed my DLI. My question is, is it enough for me to attend the first week of the first college so that I can be (actively in Canada), and then I inform the IRCC that I have changed my DLI? Is there a problem with this procedure, or this is the correct procedure? I am registered in the first college courses ,and I am waiting for the study to start on 1/8/2024

It is Ok, to start the school in your first school and then inform IRCC with the new admission letter that you will be changing a DLI institution. Thank you for this video. I applied to Conestoga college which was to start in May 2023 but withdrawn due to some reasons and now gained admission to Humber College in the same province, Ontario. I have changed my DLI using my GCKey account, based on this video I do not need to inform IRCC again with another webform. Secondly I started working the very moment I got here from May up till the January I will start schooling. My questions is how is this decision going to affect me in future and how do I handle this if it occurs.?? Thank you for your reply.

As always, any action which is against breaking an immigration rule may affect you. If IRCC gets back to you during the processing of your PGWP then you may have to seek legal assistance to respond to the Procedural Fairness letter as to why you were working. They may or may not, but it is always good to be truthful and take these laws seriously. When you were working I believe the company issued you a T4 to file your taxes this year?
