Actually, I rather enjoyed the agent’s tour as much as the property. Very thorough. Beautiful property.

The location is quite private, but still just a short walk to the village! The gardens are expansive and nicely kept. The house has a functional layout, though if a formal dining room isn't needed, a bit of wall moving could create a kitchen/diner and a larger living room. Upstairs, if you didn't need four bedrooms, one could be remade into a master bath and dressing room. The cellar offers living, hobby and workshop space. All the systems look to be updated. The barn could be useful for a horse or for a home occupation, and in any case it could be used for storage. Given its location, its assets and its condition, I'm surprised at the low price. Consider, too, that some furniture could be included. This one will sell promptly.

For this price, it is great and cheaper than in many countries of central Europe. However, it is in the middle of la France profonde, one must move in and live there permanently. It is possible to live a sustainable life there and grow own veggies, set up an orchard, keep bees and chickens. The house inside looks ok, the kitchen was badly designed, the stove should be on that wall opposite the window, which now has a long row of cupboards, instead of being tucked in the corner but one can live with this. Next thing would be shifting dining area next to the kitchen but that is easy. A lick of paint and one moves in. Provided one does not need to go to the office everyday 😊

It’s incredible how much you get when leaving the uk ,here this price would only buy a bed sit,and that’s in the worst parts of England,I just wish we could all speak in one language as that’s the bit I would find difficult,I was never any good at learning French even when I was at school and that was the language we was taught,I couldn’t do it ,so sure now 50 years on would be even a harder thing ,it’s a beautiful house though.

My wife and I are looking to retire to France within the next couple of months and this looks the sort of place we could fit in with our two Schnauzers,

Great property indeed - but a lot to look after if you’re getting on! Would probably need some goats to keep that grass down! You definitely get a LOT for your money in France, along with a nice approach to life ie good food and wine 😋

I've discovered your videos fairly recently and enjoy them tremendously, even if the homes toured must be relegated to my fantasy life now. This was a lovely house and grounds by the way. This is one slightly odd thing which I've noticed in all of the tours I've seen on your channel thus far, and which you can perhaps confirm as just coincidental viewing on my part, OR a much more common occurrence in France than I expected. One brief confession ... I've also been checking out a number of Italian property tours which is where I noticed that almost every bathroom there has a bidet. To my recollection, I haven't yet seen a bidet in a single bathroom of any of your French house tours, and I find that very surprising. I kind of assumed that bidets might even have been a French invention. Admittedly, I am an unsophisticated North American with next to no experience of this bathroom feature other than those seen whilst travelling, but I must ask ... are bidets a rarity in France?

Howdy...we have been wondering just how difficult it really is to buy and settle in Brittany ( or elsewhere in France)... Immigration for retirees, health insurance, getting on with locals... Currently living in 🇩🇪, but citizens of 🇨🇦, one of us has a "smattering" of French, and some facility with languages...any suggestions about the subject? A few of your properties appear to be in outright purchase price range, but, what are the additional "gotcha!" Costs??

I cant figure out who can spend all their time mowing a yard? can you imagine mowing that with a push mower ? and then having to clean the bathrooms, laundry, vacuum, dust, clean the wood, then outside house cleaning and then going to work? I think you have to have a outside cottage for a grounds house keeper--a job in its self. People really have to be able to live together.......reminds me of a madhouse ....I think the government should pay people to maintain property.
