Epic stove, two TVs and even a washing machine, and then a bucket toilet. LOL Priorities folks. You know what works for you. I love it.
@Ruffjourneys15 күн бұрын
All of those things you mentioned are my priorities. Having a black tank on my vehicle that I would have to drive around an empty because of a toilet is definitely not a priority to me. I do not want that on my home at all. I don’t want poop tank attached to my home or my vehicle. That did not work for me. I cannot empty out a poop tank. For some people that can work for them, but those kind of toilets do not work for me at all. So the Bucket works for me. If I were to build this thing again and spend another $80,000 on building a vehicle. I would do exactly the same thing and put another bucket composting toilet. Researching is everything when building one of these. Thank you for commenting and thank you for watching.

Nice build! One thing I would suggest though is you should install the carbon monoxide detector lower, near the baseboard. Carbon monoxide is heavier than air, and will get first detected at lower levels. Also, you should change your CMD every 5 years. There is an element inside the sensor that degrades strength over the years.

The best part about your Harbor Freight toilet is if it's too short you could always put it inside another bucket to raise it up 2 in

For drying clothes, my understanding is that these small washing machines have a very high spin rate, removing most of the water, do very little is left to finish to dry them. Ive yet to build my own rig (thinking if a gmc 3500 12 feet box truck to stay below 3000kg), but I had this idea to use my shower as a drying rack, by adding a vent coming from the diesel heater and to remove the humidity created via the vent like beside your shower. My guess is that it would only take what, 15-20 mins per load of runtime from the diesel heater, do very little fuel would be used. Good for thoughts 🤘
@RuffjourneysАй бұрын
That is definitely a good platform of a truck to start with. That’s not bad at all if you want to start your own build. I wouldn’t wait till everything is perfect to build. I would just start building. These washing machines do work pretty well as long as you don’t overload them. They spin out pretty decent. They’re just a little damp after wash cycle is done. The diesel heater idea for the vent sounds good, but it’s only cold a few months out of the year in the summertime that idea will not work. You might just have to dry them in the shower or hang them outside. the idea will definitely work in the winter time. Thank you I greatly appreciate you commenting and I really appreciate you watching.

Cool truck! I would have chosen a residential door with a window

I’m looking for one now. This door was just the right price. Now I’m looking for another one. That’s just the right price as well. More like free. Thank you and thank you for watching.

The door inside the rollout is brilliant and secure! I may copy this for my electric campervan (delivery van conversion). Where is the ventilation for your electrical under couch? Basic, simple, got the job done. Can improve when bored from living life to the fullest. Awesome. Wondering the date clearly indicates your lifestyle priorities are ideal!

N.Y. rent is too darn high. I've been wanting to do this for the longest. I can save some serious money! Because of the changing and volatile seasons in new york, its somewhat difficult, especially if your actively working! Van life is discouraged in New York due to certain guidelines to clean air, blah blah blah. Your home is so beautiful. God speed!

Van life is definitely the way to go. They’re going to discourage it and say that it’s due to clean air admissions or whatever BS they want to say. They want you to pay high rent and pay high utility cost is really all it boils down to. If they’re not making taxes And utility companies making money off of you, you’re no good to them. They have to make it against the law. I would do it. It is the best way to live. You will feel like you are liberated. Yes there are some challenges. However, the challenges outweigh the rent cost. And I would say that it’s worth doing because of the freedom that you have. Thank you for commenting and sorry for taking so long to reply. Thank you for for watching as well.

That bathroom reminds me of my old apartment in Brooklyn🤣🤣🤣Excellent build
@RuffjourneysАй бұрын
Yeah, it’s pretty much like one of those New York apartments or maybe even a prison apartment I don’t know. It’s a very, very small bathroom. Maybe if your cluster phobic could probably wouldn’t be a good thing. 😂 😂 hey, but seriously thank you for commenting and thank you for watching

personally I would be putting in a small fan to keep the solar components cooler and air circulation better
