► Stunning Colorized Historical Photos That Show Life in America in 1930s & 1940s
► Hi guys and welcome back to Mystery Scoop.
This video is brought to you in collaboration with Sébastien De Oliveira.
Photographs from the past are usually in black and white, and they appear to capture a world that seems so distant and dark. However, with the help of technology today and the skills of few talented individuals like Sebastian, this gloomy world suddenly erupts into colorful life.
As a result, people and places become less abstract and instead become more real and inviting, giving viewers a real opportunity to see what the world was like in the past. In today's video, we are going to see history colorized with few stunning examples of old photos in colour that show life in America during the 1930s and 1940s. So, let's get started!

The color pictures do make the world of that time seem more real and less remote. The people who lived in those times weren't characters in an old movie. They were just as real as we are (duh!). These pictures make it almost seem as if we're viewing that time through the eyes of those who lived through it.

I remember when I would watch war movies or gangster mob movies from the 20’s or 40’s, I would say to myself “No way things looked this colorful, clean, and vibrant in those days!”…… but Hollywood was right on point the whole time by looking at these vids of added color to the pictures. I was so used to looking at black and white photos that I never could conceive of how alive and colorful it was back then just as it is today. Amazing!

That old country store photo at the beginning looks very similar to some of the photos of my grandparents sitting on their front porch with the family back then. It still looked that way until the mid '70s when no one lived there anymore, then it started getting rundown with no one to take care of it anymore.

Unfortunetely most would most likely be dead by now, sadly even many of the children in the photos. 1935-1940 was a long time ago. The 10 year olds from 1935, if they were still alive today, would be approaching 100. Sadly, few even with todays medical advances live that long.

Great work! I wasn't around back then so I can't tell you what it was like, but my father, who was almost 100 when he went home to be with the Lord in November of 2020, could tell you plenty about how things were back in the day. Back when it felt good to be an American.

I have a theory on that. Although there were lots of reasons why hats were worn, I think people don't realize that until it became fashionable to wear sunglasses thanks to movie stars, no one really wore them and hats shielded your eyes from the sun.
