We wrestled with the decision of whether we should stand on the Kjeragbolten rock in Norway or not for many months. Deep down I think we both knew that we would do it. In this video we will show you exactly how big the rock is, and what our thought process was so that you can make your own decision also.
Whether you do or not, the hike is amazing and worth the trip anyway. You will have just as much fun without risking your life… Or would you?

I really appreciated this video because I have considered this for some time. It is very honest. I probably shouldn’t stand on that rock being probably twice your age. I might someday … who knows.

How much time it took you to climb up to reach the top of the mountain??

It was about a 6 hour round trip. I'd say three hours to get up there (including a couple of wrong turns towards the end), half an hour at the rock, two and half hours down... We could have stayed longer but wanted to beat the weather on the downhill journey.

Wouldn't surprise me the least. The Norwegians love their rocks. Glued back the Trolldick when it was sabotaged and in no time.

I also did it, only to subsequently feel embarrassed about my foolish actions and realize there was no benefit. However, I was only eight years old, so it took me merely two weeks to move past it.

I am impressed with your self awareness (and balls!) at such a young age! I try to avoid looking at this video because it brings back those feelings of foolishness every time :-)
