Zestial is a REAL ONE though. Not only does he suspect, but keep quiet AND play cover for Carmilla over the angel, but he also quietly offers support, hears her out and - seemingly - respects her choice even though he could gain from the secret and keeps it with her.

Apparently his little egg minions spend half the day telling him about ridiculous or plain weird stuff, 99 % of which turns out either untrue or massively misunderstood by their little eggy noggins. So when Frank spilled the beans, it didn't even register with him because he just took it with the same grain of salt as that story of Bigfoot commandos or that one time Frank met Elvis.

Velvette died in the 2010s with the date currently being between 2017-2023 meaning it's safe to say she's only been in Hell for 10-ish years while Zestial Morde based on his dialect is from the transitional period between the Middle Ages and Pre-Modern English, putting his tenure in Hell roughly 700 years. Yeah, that's 700 annual exterminations he's survived through. Not to mention he's stated to be in the Top 3 most powerful Overlords. Yeah he could probably annihilate Velvette...

All of the Overlords in this episode had cameos in the pilot, although Carmilla's design has changed a bit. She's still recognizable, though. The big dinosaur lady appeared as a silhouette during the opening song along with Zestial and Carmilla, and she later showed up at the bar during Charlie's pitch on the news. Her daughters also appeared briefly, gathering up fallen angel spears in front of Rosie's Emporium, although Clara's design was much different. Odette's was pretty close, though. The Vees also briefly appeared during the opening song, and there's a moment where we get to see what Valentino has been texting to Angel. Honestly the amount of little cameos in the pilot was really cool, and there's still characters that haven't appeared yet. Also I know it doesn't need to be said, but Respectless goes hard and I love it. Whatever It Takes is also quite a lovely song, and it's neat seeing some parallels between Vaggie and Carmilla. One of my friends thought that maybe they were related in some way, but I'm not so sure. Also fun fact, on my first watch of this episode it felt a little weaker to me for some reason. I liked it a lot more on rewatch, and it's currently above the first 2 episodes for me, so I'm not sure why it didn't grab me as much the first time. Edit: Lmao, I noticed Angel's little "u suk at drawing

I absolutely love this streamer for the incentive to put forward food for thought and their keen observations. I didn’t even think the fact it being a musical-lended to the credit demons will sing together to empower themselves, as Lilith started it that way. Really hammers the nail in this being music-focused on top of being a spectacular story where there never is a dull moment; Hazbin Hotel is an amazing show. Every second is full of little details and thoughtful design and characters are vibrant and fire personalities.

Zilla's design is really fun, I love the blaring bright colors, it feels like something ya'd see scribbled in some gothy teen girl's notebook. lol To me the songs in this one were particularly strong, I've jammed to Respectless plenty and Whatever It Takes is so striking. I like that Carmilla glanced over at Zestial too when singing about how she'll keep those dear to her safe. She definitely has a Mama Bear feel.

The reason that Velvette is so arrogant is because she's a lot younger than the other overlords. When she arrived in Hell, she rose through the ranks very quickly, as opposed to the other overlords, who took anywhere from decades to centuries to gain the power they have. This drastic different in power growth greatly inflated Velvette's ego.

Fun fact: Amazon prime for a little bit accidentally put Jason Statham as the VA for zestial so many people for a quick second though he was the actual VA which is hilarious lol

Zestial is one of the oldest demons and Overlord of Hell. He is seen in the pilot with Lucifer, Carmine and Zeezi (the Dino you are thirsting for). With how he speaks as ye old English and considered one of the oldest demons, it is implied he died someone in the 1700-1800’s.

Funny enough, this isn't the only time we've seen Zeezi. She was present in the Hazbin Pilot during Charlies news interview. She shows up when big shark starts moving off-screen

I've always had really big emotions, both positive and negative, and I have constantly gone up to people and said, "Hey sorry I went a little crazy there" just like Vaggie does in this episode. When you said "You're not crazy, Vaggie, you're just emotional", that really really resonated with me and...made me feel seen and understood, I suppose? So thank you for that, Nevaeh. I know it was just a small random moment, but I really appreciated hearing it ❤

I didn’t have interest Asmodeus’ voice in Boss, but when I heard it in Zestial in the Hotel, I listened to the songs from Boss and changed my mind

I like to think of the vees in such a way: Velvette: as she said shes the back bone of the 3 she keeps everything in their reputation from falling apart because she is the one curating their entire public image, being the one who picks their models social platforms ect Vox: id like to say hes the brain he comes up with all the plans and shit he puppeteers everything makes sure everyone knows their role, hes the voice aswell of the vees for the most part Valentino: val id say is the muscle he makes the content their largest selling shit is pornography and movies from what it seems, who curates and makes all that? Val, being the one who does majority of the manual labor and the one whos going out more while vox curates shit in his office and velvette works behind the scenes, hes the face of the operations along side vox Tho in power dynamic i like to think they all find that their the most powerful but realistically i think itd go Vox Valentino Velvette Velvet is just at the bottom because i think with her being the youngest ( 2010s ) of the 3 ( vox is from the 30s-50s val is from the 60s-70s ) and the one who is more so working back stage i feel like shed just naturally have less power than val who’s basically the muscle and vox whos the brain, with the two both being major faces, not saying she isnt a major face just she probably isnt as big as them plus i feel like her being yk the overlord of social media i feel like, like social media shes all bark no bite talking big despite how small she actually is in comparison ygm? vox is at the top for obvious reasons, hes the main face for the Vees and the mastermind not much to say about that lmao val is in the middle just because i think he has a higher status than velvette with his age the fact hes more public ( or seen in public ) but still obviously below vox unlike velvette hes more bite without bark no proper warnings just immediate violence for the most part 🤷‍♀️ Your one of my favorite reaction channels just because you actually analyze the series instead of just the surface shit and i love that! Not every character is a human soul, some like Charlie are what's called "Hellborn" in the show, meaning they're demons born in hell Carmilla and her daughters (if I'm remembering correctly) are Hellborn. Alastor on the other hand is a Human Soul. Moxie, Millie, Blitzo, Luna, and Stolas are all Hellborn too.

First, great reaction. The super excited energy you bring and the attention to details is just great and make these videos very enjoyable. As for favorite song, “Stayed Gone” is hands down my favorite. I’m a sucker for Villain Songs and Alastor is my favorite character. “Respectless” is probably my second. After that “Hell is Forever” and “Loser, Baby” from the next Episode vie for 3rd. The song “Poison” from the next episode would also be on up there except for certain aspects attached to it, which you’ll see for yourself soon enough. And next episode, bring kleenex and a voodoo doll shaped like a certain moth pimp asshole…

So far, I think Stayed Gone is my favorite out of the ones you’ve heard at this point. Anyway, with this we have at least seen all of the Overlords except Two, i wonder when we’ll see them and i hope we get to see more of Velvette and the other Overlords in Season 2 at least. My read on Velvette is that despite how reckless she is, she is quite smart and ambitious and VERY good at reading people. So most likely, when she arrived in hell she realized Vox and Valentino would be the easiest overlords for her to manipulate into working with her and helping grow her power much faster than is normal

See that is a good question wether Carmilla's children died with her or been born in Hell or something. It for me also poses another question, more general to all the Heaven-Hell dynamic anywhere than just the show: What if someone's loved ones do not deserve to go to Heaven, but they do. So they go to Heaven, but their loved ones go to Hell. In Heaven, you are supposed to be content and happy, but how can you, if you know, that your loved ones suffer in Hell?
