Stunning, windless bike commute with a quick train ride from Māngere Bridge into Auckland CBD. Total commute time: 40 minutes. ( With the train ride, otherwise it's about 35 minutes)
I've been jumping on the train with my bike to navigate the city during the early morning hours recently. It works.
🚴♂️ Why Combine Biking and Trains?
Avoid poorly lit, narrow busy roads in the early hours.
🚉 Tips for Commuters
1. Keep your train pass handy so you're not fiddling about with pockets and holding bikes at the same time. I have it in my backpack shoulder pocket.
2. Keep your train pass (Hop card) topped up so you don't have to try and use money machines at the station in darkness.
3 The trains are very reliable in the morning, not so much in the afternoon as passenger traffic and movements increase.
