Agree with everything you said. We've been told we are nuts for selling our house to live in an RV. My response was maybe so, but I'm not the one paying $$$$ for property tax every year. Happy disrupting!!

Another great video. I agree with all you said. The lonely quote always cracks me up since we're working in Vermont in the winter we're renting a cabin that is on top of a mountain by itself. Definitely more "alone" than rv living . I'll live vicariously through your videos of warmer weather.

To your point, our 2022 Keystone Cougar had essentially a two part warranty. 3 years standard, 2 years for full-timing. That "these things aren't made to live in" crap makes us angry.

Very similar myths as the cruising lifestyle on sailboats, especially the "being on vacation" and "being lonely". We still keep in contact with people we met on our boat 15 years ago in Mexico! We can definitely have less overhead in our Imagine than we did in our last "home" (which was a catamaran). Lots of inexpensive and free camping in certain areas of the country!

I’ve heard these same myths and realized ( learned from some full time friends ) that they are indeed myths. But you hit the reason we are going full time. We don’t need to go full time, yes we are selling our American Dream home and land. We love to travel but most of our travel is a cruise or some international vacation. Plus being former military, most of my travel was international. Some was within the United States but no time to be a tourist. Therein lies why we are going full time. Travel the U.S. as tourist. I love rodeos and cowboy lifestyle. I was raised in it pretty much all my life outside of military. We want to see the country and bring our home with us. Sooooo off we go into a new awesome adventure

I tell people we’re going FT when we retire in 2 years and no one has said we’re crazy. Probably because our jobs try to kill us 😂 We can afford it. We got TT and I love to boondock, so that’s a plus. No one comes over now so nothing will change 😊 Living is good for me, leaving is nice too. I keep it clean and if it’s too old…. I probably don’t want to be there anyway. Well the fees are pretty expensive. Now TT is my favorite for the price. KOA is 💰 The warranty is a joke. I’m not the brightest 💡 bulb on the 🎄 Christmas tree. 😂 Just leave. Now I won’t be employed so I may end up in jail at some point because people 🙃

I have to have a sticks and bricks as a home base but having retired at the end of 2023 gives me more time to go camping and not have to worry about being back at work at a certain time. Already have several reservations made starting the end of March. Some related to going to dog shows. Getting excited to get on the road.

Would you mind giving some advice in regards to insurance? My RV will most likely be an older one (pre-2000), class C. I won't be full-time immediately, but will become FT after 2-3 months. What type of coverage should I carry other than minimum required? I would assume that if I were to get in an accident or incur some sort of damage, the ins co will want to total it right away due to its age. Another great video guys!

Thanks for the kind words. As for insurance advice, that is such a personal choice that we wouldn’t feel comfortable advising on. Our rig is new (year old now) so it is insured for replacement value. The only thing we can say is sit with your agent and explain what a loss of your RV would mean for you. They should be able to assist in a way that would take care of you in a total loss situation. 😀

Some of us physically cannot do many repairs themselves . . . that is my past experience as an older single female with arthritis and other somewhat health problems. Small adjustments, jess, but not bigger things . . . .I have the same problem in my sticks & bricks. . . always gotta pay someone else to do the work . . . :-(

Understandable which is why we include about hiring a tech. Bob used to do everything at home also with the exception of plumbing lol . He hates it and always hires someone for those situations.

Question on ConnecTen: is the router able to be mounted on a wall (behind TV)? Also, can it be powered via 12 volt? Thanks.

Ours is mounted on the wall behind our tv. There are 2 holes on the bottom of the router for that. Not sure about 12v power. I would recommend reaching out to customer service for advice on that.

We wanted to keep everything as small as possible so for us a 5th wheel made no sense. We have a Ram 2500 😀

How do you guys handle medical issues? My husband & I were going to sell our home and do rving full time. I just found out that my heart is not working as well as it should. We are not sure how to handle any medical issues if we are rving.
