Sturgis PD released a statement clarifying this group is not part of Antifa. They were Rapid City Residents. Sturgis 2020 Protesters, Attendance and Spending Update. Protesters showed up at Sturgis and what started as peaceful didn't last. A Protester kicked at a Bike Riding by and things escalated quickly. When the police ask a hungry crowd to back off and allow the the justice system to work, and the crowd does back off, you have an actual justice system. Not many countries can say that. And I'll admit, I'm not confident that I could compose myself as well as those folks did when facing that evil. You are stronger than me and I intend that to be a complement.

Good info, thank you. I was at Sturgis, my first. Stayed at Glencoe camp grounds. From Friday 7th through Wednesday. Everyone was friendly, not any social distancing or masks, and that felt so normal it felt great. 4 days later I still feel fine. Dummies protesting deserve what they got. This was a positive statement on how so many different people can get along so well. Respect is the key. Hopefully the virus numbers are not falsely reported and no health issues on anyone.

I'm from Sturgis I never heard of any mask mandate that never did end up happening, thankful for your news update honestly didn't know there was a protest at all either. Same stuff different day.

I'm from Massachusetts and I go to Laconia Bike week every year and this year it will suck with no vendors, no beer tents, the bars will be closed or if open with strong restriction and no entertainment but there is a lot of great back road riding to do. I will still be going and hoping to get some nice daily trips in.

thank you, this is how something should be reported, early i was wondering why a bunch of bada$$ bikers got held back buy a few police, you explained it well, my bad for jumping to conclusion. your are right, and the bikers did do the right thing and the right thing for sturgis, because we all don't want them to cancel it in the future.

I have been to Sturgis twice and had a great time ... 99 percent of the bikers are decent, law abiding , patriotic people who love this country and all of its freedoms. God bless all who attended this year's rally.

Motorcycle Clubs should be organized into a National organization that are "mobilized" to go to Antifa / BLM gatherings to rally and support the local citizens against the threat of violence. They can be used to also support local police as needed. They can help to save our country. God Bless America!

I couldn’t go. Canadians were unabled to get across the border. I am definitely going this year (2021). Sturgis is always good for the soul. Maybe not so good for the wallet! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Laconia is not going to happen with a mask mandate. Yankee town Yankee rules. New Hampshire is a beautiful place but unfortunately their moto "Live Free or Die" doesn't mean much these days I guess.

The guy clearly kicked his bike. He hit his saddlebag and the bike swerved after being kicked. Thats why the crowed got pissed.. there was a great video that showed everything and that video was edited for some reason.. not sure why.

Cuz the biker kicked out at the purple haired freak. There's a really good video from the rear arc of the protest area and you can see that the dude on the bike not only gets really close to them he kicks out with his foot. And the purple haired freak responded in kind. However, the crowds just saw him kicking a bike. It's one of those situations where you just don't retaliate. The guy could have got off his bike, punched him in the face, and ole purple still would have had the entire crowd wanting to rip him apart. In this situation, your outmanned, outgunned, and definitely do not have the crowds opinion on your side. Me personally, I don't care what you do to me especially if I do something to you but don't touch my fucking bike. I will pull your testicles out through your eye sockets. Pretty much biker code right there

0 is the answer. Your more dramatic than a teenage girl, even if it happened it would not make a dent in the used motorcycle market. I am guessing you don't even know what TOD is, I don't know a Biker that doesn't TOD his bike to someone, so they would not end up in an estate sale most of the time anyway. Go back to playing video games.

I had probably one of the best times of my life in South Dakota. The people of that state was truly awesome. Great kind People. The least of my worries was antifa. Good thing the police were there to protect the anti American group.

Okay so I've seen a lot of the videos of what actually happened as far as the guy kicking the bike. The dude on the bike kicks at purple haired freak who retaliates. But because of viewing angle and the fact that the motorcycle covers most of the view, you can't see the biker kicking at purple haired freak. Who is pretty much protected by the police from the bikers who only saw him kicking the bike. Bet he's glad they didn't defund the police in Sturgis yet.

Theses people can let normal people any sort events, without them trying to takeover it. I think it’s because nobody has invite them out anywhere and this is their way of interacting with people and try to get attention, instead of being always the shadow. That everyone avoids, including there own family!

So you bikers in America don't like people who are anti fascist. I suspect many of you have or had family members who fought fascism or worked in industry to fight fascism. I'm English and a proper lefty and I understand being conservative, some of my friends are conservatives, but the child like attitude to the protest at Sturgis that I see on bids is beyond me. You guys need to grow up. Just so you know I'm 65 I've had bikes since I was 12 and I used to hang out with various bike gangs but being quite keen on my independence of thought and actions I didn't get to involved. Not keen on all the club rules and shit. I have wanted to visit Sturgis for some time but with the attitude to people with other ideas shown in the vids I ain't so sure now. Black lives do matter and fascism is a stain on the world that my dad fought against (cost him an eye part of his hand and a chunk of a leg) so support anti fascists and enjoy your biking. Anyway rant over. Fly straight and stay safe.

The founders of the hells angels were antifa , and they fought fascists in the skys of europe during ww2. The hells angels back patch is the same as their logo. There are fascist bikers, but all bikers I have met are unconcerned about politics.
