This video presets the bells h0 -d1 -g1 -a1 -h1 [Si2 -re3 -sol3 -la3 -si3] of Christ Church in Stuttgart, southern Germany.
➥ In 1954, four new bells were made for the newly built Christ Church in Stuttgarts parish district "Gänsheide". The Kurtz bell foundry cast the new bells [2+3+4+5] after a small bell had already been made for the temporary church in 1948, which is the sacristy bell today.
At that time, there was already space for a large bell. However, this could only be realised many years later.
In 1990, the large bell [1] was finally realised again. The Bachert bell foundry in Heilbronn cast the mighty and sonorous Dominica.
The ringing benefits immensely from the huge bell chamber. The reverberant acoustics create a carpet of sound that is unrivalled. As usual, the bells from Stuttgart and Heilbronn complement each other amazingly well. The clearly different sound characteristics contribute to the very positive overall impression.
