I’m so freaking excited to hear your opinion on these p.calm products ! I love the Cato cream as a person with combination dry skin (normal t-zone and super dry cheeks) it’s really hard to find good creams with long lasting moisture in TUBES. It was my go to this summer. By the way I never comment on your videos but I literally binge watch them I just love the format, the full disclosure, the raw opinions, the science it’s just chef’s kiss 💋

The description I read for P.Calm is that the products are designed by experts in burn treatment with sensitive, acne prone skin in mind. The products are inspired by burn treatments. I am absolutely in love with the Barrier Cycle Toner.

@@slaghanam7634 Yes! It's great for my sensitive skin. I really only get hormonal acne every now and then, so I'm not sure about for acne prone skin. I do like it to offset some of the side effects using Tretinoin.

For film-forming lip products like the Juicy Lasting Tint, you do have to wait a minute without touching it for the film to form in order to not transfer color and develop a more glossy finish. First “kiss” will take off the colorless glossy film instead of the color tint. Then it starts to lose the color gradually if you keep touching your lips on stuff.

Oohh I love the p. Calm Cato cream and Cato lotion. Their spf is the GOAT I haven’t used another since I discovered theirs about 7 months ago. Also I ALWAYS use the Klairs midnight blue calming cream ONTOP of my night cream. It literally hold everything in and leaves this sort of protective film on the skin that is super comfortable

I really enjoyed this. I find recommendations and genuine hauls endlessly fascinating, both online and off. LOVE a good haul! I cracked open that P.calm toner last week and OMG what a delicious texture!! cant wait to see long term results! P.calm is a brand made from employees of other popular brands like isntree and round lab, and i think their expertise of being in the business helped to launch them well- and their formulas are wonderful! I do like the cato cream, just feel sometimes it isnt enough hydration at night. I have the lion pair acne cream but havent given it a fair shot-i was recently sick and broke out too (huge cyst like i was 13 again!) and have the perfect opportunity to try it out! enjoy the products, and I cant wait to hear about your jbeauty goodies! Hada labo's perfect gel and their shirojyun premium lotion(toner) are giving me the all the hydration and more!

I love love loooooove the Lion Pair cream ❤. It is my hg pimple cream to calm down the inflamation. And because it calms down the inflamation, it also helps to get rid of quicker those nasty, unwelcomed and hostile guests that landed on my skin 🙄🙂.

Pair acne cream is amazing. It will not cure anything overnight but it’s very gentle (even on compromised barrier) and effective.

Tina Tanaka Harris raves about P.Calm and I think she has worked with them. I think the P.CALM Barrier Cycle Toner is really good. K-Beauty brands kind stopped selling their Korean SPF filters on Amazon to US consumers because of the last time they had to pull their SPFs. I guess we have to buy them directly on Olive young or Style Korea

Ah the true Stylevana experience. Making two orders weeks apart and having them arrive at the same time. I get what you mean about J-beauty taking longer. I use Shiseido’s hair care and whenever I repurchase them it takes significantly longer than usual.

As a fellow k-beauty lippie addict the Glasting Melting Balm and Ink Mood Glowy tint are personal favorites. The balm has that lip-gloss-stick melty formula, but the pigment is even and not too strong. Only downside is it tastes like plant oils. The glowy tints have a nice vanilla scent and leave a stain. They’re glossy while having a comfortable, serum-like texture that’s actually a bit hydrating. My fav shades were 05 Nougat Sand in the balm and 11 Brown Heaven in the tint.

Occlusive like aquaphor or thick and heavy like biossance omega? Because for occlusive, it’s that Chogongjin Youngan Jin Cream (wondrous…simply wondrous!) But for a heavy cream, I still have to decide on a favorite there haha. Will do so before the best moisturizers of 2023 video 😅

Some by Mi got two other sunscreens that use better filters. One is hybrid with tone up effect and the other is organic chemical clear. Both are super cheap at Stylevana half price sales.

I was really impressed with the clear version! I know some won’t be into it as it does contain alcohol and fragrance, but wow, what a formula. It truly feels like nothing on!

I recently tried for the first time I'm from Honey mask and their Ginseng Eye Cream and both just smell... comforting (?) for the lack of better explanatory skills on my side 😁and both products feel so soothing and nourishing (and both were bought during 50 % off on StyleVana, so I don't feel bad for paying full price 😅)

✨Alice ✨I’m not sure if you tried it but a random kbeauty thick booty cream I found is the Sioris Enriched by Nature cream - I was surprised and it’s my night occlusive now! It gives a great glow! And I’m super dry and super depressed and stressed 😅 I def need to try the p calm next but that midnight blue cream is my go to after threading and any cut/irritation! thanks so much for sharing your haul with us 🎉🙌🏿💕

I can’t believe it but I’ve never tried that cream! I did fall in love with deep in a barrier, but that product kind of fell to the side as I found creams that I prefer just a bit more. Does it have a strong scent?

⁠⁠@@AliceintheRabbitHole *sniffing now* I’m sniffing and it has a linalool-y scent but it’s not strong to me. I prefer fragrance free skincare but I am obsessed with fragrances like edp in general. The scent doesn’t linger long after application and goes from a mild scent to more “unscented” or clinical/plain drugstore smell. Def worth a try! A long way to say “it doesn’t bother me but I hope you try it!” I hope that helps 😅

@@AliceintheRabbitHole oh yeah tamanu be doing the most lol but yeah this is fresher scent that dissipates and with a balmy finish or texture but still sinks in 🙌🏿 got ceramide and green tea, cocooning and protective to me ☺️ OH and compared to the Klairs midnight blue, the Klairs is lighter and more lotion-y!

Have you heard of the KIKUMASAMUNE SAKE SKINCARE LOTION, it comes in a moist version and a bright version. Large bottles, Japanese. Maybe review? Heard great things about this and also inexpensive.

It was so interesting to see you put the Etude Dear Darling Water Tint on your cheek. I use it as a lip stain. (Perhaps that's why the scent wasn't a surprise to me; I expect that in a lip product.)

Ive actually had my eye on the Round lab soybean cleansing oil, but I just noticed it contains bergamot fruit oil,, limonene, linalool, and geraniol. Bummer, since I really dislike that strong citrus scent. Interested to hear ur thoughts on it !

It’s a little bit heavier than the skin1004 and does feel like it needs a double cleanse to me. Nice overall, but admittedly similar to cleansing oils I already have

I love the fact that you actually put the turnip on your face to demo the cleansing oil 😂 I’ve been feeling like the front of my hairline is looking a little more sparse as I’m entering my mid 30s as well. I do red light therapy, but not enough on my scalp specifically I think. But I also did just purchase a hair regrowth spray from some by mi. They also made a shampoo and scalp treatment if you were interested in looking into that. But if you think you have more breakage from your past coloring, I would highly recommend trying K 18 if you have not. I’ve been a hairstylist for almost 20 years and it’s amazing how big of a difference it can make.

Yup I think it’s breakage. I keep saying I’m done bleaching my hair (it handled it better in my 20s, now I’m over here intentionally thinning out my 30s hair? Worst of all I do know better UGH) K-18 really was amazing, thanks for mentioning it. I need to pick up another bottle!

I read an article about it (although I can’t find it again, of course 🤦‍♀️) that explained it has to do with the shipping out of Japan. Apparently, shipping boats have to take a longer route than one would expect? I think Vana is good at keeping the popular J-Beauty sunscreens in stock (as well as Naturie!), but the lesser known brands do seem to take around 4-5 weeks to arrive. Very worth it!!

Yay u bought the pcalm toner I have been telling u about , I have been so interested in it and almost bought it a few times and I bought the Cato cream but I heard it was not good for acne prone skin lots of trigger ingredients also heard the Austra cream was amazing thick too but also alot of ance trigger ingredients and the Neogen high X cream I heard was amazing peptides amino acids all kind of goodies and acne friendly , they are all on my list along with the panthenol balm and cream from the brand that makes the bean essence 😆 I just forgot the name completely went blank . Girl I can not find the Iope stem 111 essence ampoule anywhere and I'm almost out I'm in love with that stuff so much I was willing to pay the 80$ but literally gone everywhere. * That cushion actually looks super pretty on you I wish they made it in darker shades maybe in the winter I can find one that works . Use one of the cushion puffs from ur full size products to put it on 😆

@@AliceintheRabbitHole looks like their Changing the packaging on stuff , alot of different looking packaging I see the different package for the stem111 ampoule but it's not in stock and I really like that blue glass packaging with the auto dropper like genific has 😭 the only thing I see the ampule in is in tiny size in a set . I am gonna be heart broke I'm in love and was wanting to try other stuff too cause all I tried was the ampoule and the bio essence and that was onsale 21$ 2 days ago durning prime day and it freaken sold out . Put it in my cart went back a few hours later and it was gone and they had 2 ampoules left last week was gonna order it went back gone 😭 I will be so sad.

Yeah I feel like it’s hard to pin down those ingredients. for me, it’s my allergens that correlate with breakouts vs “comedogenic ingredients”. The tricky part being that everyone’s skin is different!

Oh I understand, although I didn’t know that dry skin can breakout from comedogenic ingredients, even if you were acne prone. Which makes sense because sometimes moisturizers can feel fairly lightweight and not heavy at all, but they still break you out. Thank you for the info- i also have sensitive acne prone skin.

I have the I'm From Rice mask on my wish list as I like rice, I was trying to decide between that and the Dr Ceurcle Rice mask which seems similar. I love Japanese skincare, Sana was my favourite as a teen and I used them for many years. Ive only heard of P Calm from Tina Tanaka and it seems to be a dry and sensitive skin brand, maybe similar to something like Curel or like LRP and Avene?

I find ur videos excellent and detailed.❤❤ i recently started getting into k beauty and only used yesstyle so far. But I wonder why the process is so hard. I placed items in my cart. Then I open another screen and check if it is cruelty free bec I have to stick to my ethics. Then I have to take them out😅😅So i am not getting a sale or deal in the end. Bec I noticed that the cheaper items are not cruelty free. So Etude, Innistree, Clio, etc are out. Finally I made a list of brands and will stick to the list.💜

I was shocked when I received an email from them that my order has arrived in the US. Maybe my order was like in that last order for the batch that they're going to ship to the US. lol I don't know if they ship by groups/batches.

Hmm. Tbh I don’t think I have, I’m guessing because they are made to emulsify with water? I know what you mean though - sometimes I use too much bifacil and run into the same issue (gotta pat around my eyes lol)

The I’m from Rice Mask is no for me . The honey & mugwort is a holy grail . Out of curiosity, why do u spread the roundlab cleanser directly on your face ? That amount u dispense , no wonder most of cleansers appear too stripping for your skin. Aren’t you supposed to just dispense just a tiny bit & rub it together on your wet palms & let it foam up before applying it on your skin ? cleansers like cleansing balm , oil & milk are the only cleansers we apply directly onto our face & massage . 2nd cleansers aka foaming cleaners are supposed to foam up before applying Just out of curiosity

Hey Alice , I’m in a debate on face book right now and I was wondering your two cents on this. I was saying how you CAN use retinol and vitamin c in the same routine , & they could actually boost each other up, I thought the only reason people say not to is due to the potential for irritation. But other people are saying you absolutely can’t because those two ingredients cancel each other out. Someone even said you shouldn’t use vitamin c at all in the evening. Which is accurate information?

Ah welcome to the passionate debates of skincare enthusiasts 😅😅 The confusion comes from a lack of clarity around why. Vitamin C *in the form of L-AA* is pH dependent; retinol is not. You can use the two together, but the L-AA needs to go first (on dry skin), wait, and then apply retinol. Yes this can be an irritating combo for some folks, and again that’s because of the low pH (which can be irritating on its own, double whammy with retinol) Vitamin C derivatives that are not pH-dependent do not have this issue at all, and in fact you’ll find products with both retinol and some C derivative formulated together into a product. HTH!

I’m assuming it’s a vitamin c derivative cream (most are), so it’s probably fine. Some do experience irritation, and some do not though!

I tend to think that it’s actually the time of year. Last year right at exactly this time I had a horrible experience and ended up canceling my order at the very end of November, and I had made it (rhe order) I think on September 23. When I tried again in February of this year, and also in the summer, I had no proble-- my orders came flying in early. So, I’m sure glad you got your haul, because I decided to test the waters with a small order totaling about $50 and checking that they had at least 25% stock on all the product that I ordered. I had no J beauty at all Once again here I am with an order I made on September 18 checking everything to make sure there was at least 25% stock, and still I have an order that remains in “ processing mode” here on my birthday.😢 I sent them an email, and they did not understand what I said, and then asked me if I wanted to cancel my whole order and we are still going back-and-forth. 😫 I'm enjoying your haul, though!! 😂

Glam Girl Gabi just did a video with a complete hair routine (we have the same hair texture), and her hair turned out beautiful!! So I ordered from Yesstyle yesterday. Were the mini's in the Yesstyle or the Stylevana calendar. Oh, and I just realized that Stylevana's calendar is available today! Should I?!?

Funny enough, I actually really don’t! I tend to think of peptides in the serum step, so while I can name a bunch of k-beauty peptide serums, not so much with the creams (aside from the klairs midnight concentrate which is fresh on my mind lol - but not a dupe, I would say)
