spend a (very realistic) work day in my life as a Business Systems Analyst in nyc. My work is hybrid and in today's vlog we will be working from home. _Traveling solo after grad school was a revelation! I always identified as an introvert but meeting people over solo dinners (especially abroad) surprised me. It opened the door to some amazing friendships and even business connections._ _Interestingly, the opposite happens when I travel with my boyfriend. While we experience the local culture together, I find myself less likely to strike up conversations with strangers. Maybe it's because we're focused on planned activities or perhaps there's just a different dynamic when traveling with someone._ _Great videos as always. Tisha, today at Costco, Iwilei, Honolulu I asked a woman if she was from India. She replied, I'm Nepalese from Kathmandu. No way!!! When I told her about my favorite You Tube vlogger, Tisha Shrestha also from Kathmandu. She recognized Shrestha as a common last name, like Nguyen in Vietnam. She was going to check you out on You Tube. Told her I LOVEbTO HEAR YOU TALK and had beautiful eyes, common to India, Nepal & Pakistan.

I am awkward at starting conversations. I’m trying to develop better skills in this area but it’s not a natural thing to me, it’s slow going. Lol I’m more of a solo person/home body. You got a second workout carry those heavy groceries up 5 flights of stairs!😂 Run the jar lid under hot water, hit the side of the lid with a table knife, or do what I do use a small rubber type piece of shelf paper. Works every time. Sorry, I sure didn’t explain what the thin rubber material is you put on your kitchen cupboards shelves! You do eat very healthy, good for you!

I’m so happy you now have a large, spacious and SAFE apartment to call home! It took my 4 tries, moving every year, to find a NYC apartment with minor issues that I really like. Since it's rent stabilized, I’ll stay for a while ☺️

Working a top job can be challenging at most Tisha. I always forget to take breaks for myself. What helps my body relax is a nice warm bath with epsom salt. Relaxes and heals the muscles. Maybe that will help or book yourself a nice spa in the weekends 😍

Hi Tisha, I know exactly how it feels to be left out. Meaning being all by yourself. To remedy that, I get up, introduce myself and ask if I could join. I wait til everyone starts a conversation and I there is anything I have to contribute, I ask if I can say something. If they give me the opportunity, I add to what they were talking about. If there is nothing to say or I see they are not interested in my company, I move on to another group and so on. I'm glad there was someone who asked you to their group. Hi Tisha! Regarding the pasta, the wheat flour used in pasta will either be semolina or duram. You may just be allergic to one type. Here is a healthy trick: only buy pasta MADE in Italy! It is much easier to digest due to the type of flour(semolina) used. You may also want to try a brand that used chick pea flour called “Banza”…it is sold in regular grocery markets in a bright orange box. It is good for those with allergies to wheat. It does have a different texture, cooks different and taste isn’t like authentic good Italian pasta, but it is SUPER HIGH in protein and fiber.

I really appreciate the work day videos! I'm doing the exact same thing, and it can seem like the world is doing fun things and I'm at my desk. It's good to have a fellow analyst to work along with on video. I have to have white noise too and dread in the summer when the power goes out because I wake up and the machine is off. I now have a battery operated one too, just in case, lol. Good price on the trader joes haul. I got some lovely Asian Haro Haro chili sauce and had it on dumplings Saturday, it was delicious. The Asian sauces are just the best. I want to try Napoli food!

I think you're allergic to wheat. So I would have an IGG done which is a blood test and that will tell if you're allergic to wheat or not my suggestion would be is to have some wheat an hour before the test. That will ensure that your immune system will have enough time to react to the wheat. To see if you're allergic to it. I would not recommend doing that if you are anaphylactic. But you're not.

Finally catching up on your video. I don't know how you manage to balance enjoying life and working full time. I've been in my new role, and with all the meetings and workload, when I finally get some free time, all I want to do is lie in bed and stare at the ceiling 😅 ps. I'm loving all those plant 😍

I have lived in my house for almost 12 years. I still need to make sense of my sewing room, and my husband still tries to organize his own boxes. I giggled at how you have been in your apartment for less than 6 months and talked about not unpacking yet. It's fun watching your life in NYC. You are close to my children's age, and your life seems glamorous. I am a retired RN. I would buy groceries in my scrubs after work. Your workout clothes would have been semi-formal for me.

Heyyy!! Thank you so so much ❤️ I am really glad I had thoughtful and kind neighbors otherwise it would have been so dreadful. My work days (esp remote days) feel the same. I am hoping as the weather has gotten better I’ll do other things after work hours. I am using Copilot Fitness app. It is an entirely virtual. My assigned coach plans out my workout based on my goals, experience and injuries. The app also includes videos on how to do the workout (like body doubling) and times the workout and rest. Hi Tisha! I was going to tell you last vlog but forgot. My brother owns a company in California and has his own type of wifi. Well, I got to see alot of Nepal and Katmandu via my nephew's camera. They went over and set up my brother's wifi system in some of the remote areas of Nepal! Sorry about your glasses. Those dumplings looked so good!! ❤❤

Buy Gluten free pasta if you’re not. Same for bread & crackers or go for sourdough. Your body might not be a fan of unnecessary gluten. Read up on it. I buy the Jovial brand of brown rice pastas!
