My Grandmother and I planted some lemon seeds in my dad's house when I was in 12th standard. After it grew completely it started giving a lot of lemons throughout a year my grandmother is no more with us but whenever I visit my dad's house it reminds me of her and whenever we have a lot quantity of lemons we distribute it to our neighbors, friends, and family which again spread the smell of my Grandmother's memory. You won't believe the quantity of lemons nowadays is bigger than 800 lemons every season, yes that's how huge the tree has grown now.

I still remember as a kid.. my mother had taught me seed germination and how plants flower and bear fruits by just planting beans and a tomato.. and she had used it for pulao.. I was probably in 1st or 2nd grade.. and I felt so happy about veggies from my plant being used to cook at home.. even if it was just 2 beans and 1 tomato. Like you said.. these plants help to keep us rooted.
