Holy shit, this was probably the best dinosaur documentary ever, this not only improves upon your already impressive series but also trumps pretty much every other dinosaur documentary ever put to film. I not only learnt about Styracosaurus but about its ecology, how and why we know what we know about its habitat, which dinosaurs it was contemporary with and how they likely co-existed. The only thing missing was what it's contemporary predators were. But seriously you have outdone yourselves and it is amazing.

I am alone in my room going to sleep. I see that there is a new YDAW. I audibly gasp and yell “YES!” out loud. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this show. I listen to it as audio for falling asleep.

Probably my favourite ceratopsid AND I've been hoping YDAW would return. I've watched every one of them and was afraid the series was done. Now that Jurassic World has new toys coming out, I'd LOVE to see a video on how accurate, or inaccurate Jurassic World's depiction of Tyrannosaurus is. I notice it's brow ridge is more prominent and broader than the real skull.

It gets really hard to follow when I'm still learning the names for subspecies and such. It would be super helpful if you put up those cute head icons each time a dino name is said. I do super love the info about what dinos lived at the same time, I have such a bad grasp of that. Edit: I'm sorry. Subspecies is probably the wrong terminology. Vocabulary is my slowest area of retention.

Omg finally! I literally got The urge to watch these again and binged them all like a week ago. Edit : I also think its worth praising how the animation has come along so well the dinosaurs move and react as they change, even if the style is just construction paper they do feel way more alive now, very well done :D

I feel with Jurassic Park's 25th anniversary coming up in June, as well as Fallen Kingdom's release the same month, that you should cover some Jurassic Park/World toys. The Dinosaurs I would beg you to cover would be Velociraptor Ingenisis ( maybe Ingenisis caerulium), Tyrannosaurus Ingenisis (the most typical specimen is known as Rexy/Roberta), and Dilophosaur Ingenisis. It would be interesting to compare these Jurassic franchise Dinosaurs (typically the most popular and first inacurate Dinosaur people think of) to the Dinosaurs they're based on like Velociraptor antirrhopus, Tyrannosaurus rex, and Dilophosaurus wetherilli respectively. Thank you for another great video.

FINALLY!!! I'M SO EXCITED!

As a designer, the amount of effort put into the animations and graphic work really blows me away. It takes what is just a man sitting at a desk talking about dinosaurs, to a really immersive and deep look into the Dinosaur world. And it does that by utilizing a relatively simple approach and embracing the cardboard infographic in a scrapbook look rather than full 3D graphics, but that approach has so much charm and passion that it outdoes most 3D work. Couple that with the video length and amount of information... damn you guys work hard on this stuff.

You sayed that they had big noses and maybe they can be considered the dinosaurs pig ...maybe the big nose was filled with receptors to smell and so find the food in the dirt , like a pig finding truffles. Glad that this is back.Love from Romania, if it warms your heart.

Ah yes, the _Styracosaurus_ episode! I've been waiting a long time for this, and it didn't disappoint! Thank you so much, Steven, for keeping us up to date on the latest discoveries with this particular dinosaur, and all the others you've done so far! :) Admittedly, though, I was a bit worried where this was going to go. I was worried that, since it's a ceratopsian dinosaur, this would just be a retread of the _Triceratops_ episode, but slightly different. (Then again, this is coming from the guy who sent you a _Pinacosaurus_ toy, even though you've done _Euoplocephalus_ .) But yeah, it's cool to see/hear something different about this genus! I especially like how you brought up the new genus, _Rubeosaurus_ , because it's sort of a reverse of that whole _Triceratops_ / _Torosaurus_ scenario, except it's more likely to be true this time, and I honestly wasn't expecting it. :) So I guess this means you've done around 4 dinosaurs that were in Disney's _Dinosaur_ , the other three being _Carnotaurus_ , _Giraffatitan_ and _Parasaurolophus_ . Funnily enough, I used to think Eema, the _Styracosaurus_ in the film, was male, since the top half of her beak sort of resembled a moustache, and her androgenous voice certainly didn't help. I mean, I didn't actually mistake it for a moustache, but generally speaking, cartoon characters with something that resembles a moustache (e.g. an elephant's tusks, or a large grille on a car) tend to be male. But nope, I was wrong! Also, I love the new background - it's good to see *where* the dinosaurs were found! I notice you haven't done any Australian dinosaurs yet - but seeing how _Muttaburrasaurus_ is included on the spreadsheet, I'm sure we'll be getting it in the future. It's a shame there don't seem to be any toys of _Leaellynasaura_ , however. :(

Maybe Styracosaurs were more like deer/elk in their behavior, and Chasmosaurs were more like Moose? Which is to say, the former is a gregarious browser that prefers a certain type of food, while the latter is a solitary browser that prefers a different type of food.

It would be interesting if Centrosaurines were like how Jack Horner put it, one animal, or a few animals, that changed features as they aged. Today we have sage grouses that have air-sacs, I wonder if dinosaurs had such features.

This was a very good episode, I must say. Though a quick thing to note, there's always the possibility that brain size alone doesn't play a factor into cognitive capabilities in non Coelurosaurs. If we could study the neural density in crocodilians and find that the same rules that apply to birds apply to them, it could mean that increased neural density is homologous to Archosauria. Does bring up the question of when it even developed. But yeah, I'm a fan of this episode, can't wait for the next. (I also haven't properly done that Carnotaurus I promised so many years ago)

Finally :) It felt almost like a year of waiting hahah.. Back then i was pretty sure the toy had fewer inaccuracies (still its pretty good for an average ceratopsian toy though). Anyway, I like the tendency towards videos getting longer and more detailed, that tiny stuff is often intriguing.
