I was always called a weirdo in high school for loving this band and not jumping on the eightees train with everybody else, few bands from that Era or even before can hold a candle these guys and even fewer are still around to try...Lawrence Gowan is doing a hell of a job, I think John Panozzo would be proud to see his legacy carried on by such a great drummer like Todd Sucherman, Chuck Panozzo still makes appearances occasionally but Ricky Phillips couldn't be a better replacement especially bringing more vocal harmonies to the table, I would like to see the remaining four...Yes...DDY, Tommy, JY, and Chuck do one last hurrah for their fans but if not, so be it, These guys are still more than worthy enough to carry the name STYX!!!

I went to see Styx play in my hometown of York, Pennsylvania this past July 2021 and they did the song. This is really an awesome song from an incredibly great album! "Crash of the Crown" should be a best seller album! The only trouble is the mainstream sucks! I would listen to this album 100 times in a row before I listen to any of the junk they're playing on the radio now! Where oh where has true Rock Music gone??

Huge fan since I first heard Lady as a 12 year old. Tommy's voice is still amazing, unwavering in reaching the high notes. The musicianship as always, so well done . The meaning of this song brings chills to my whole being! Even though I am very well centered now, (comes with age), What I wouldn't give to give others, for a moment, a look back in time and experience us back then. I really hope we can get a grip on things. Thanks for this song guys, well done!!

This is my favorite track of the entire album for sure. The message, the lyrics, the presentation, the music and the arrangement - everything about this track is so fun, soulful, deep, passionate and resonate, while being powerful in every way, too. And as usual, Styx always shows that they unlike any of their counterparts of their era are still just as spry, nimble, capable and skilled as they were back in their hay days. Usually with age comes a sharp decrease in predominantly vocal ability and range, yet, NONE of these guys have lost a damn shred of their abilities and ranges vocally. Then you can look at the most of their counterparts, like Bon Jovi and even in concert you can clearly see and hear how quickly Jon loses his already restricted range and vocal abilities. Tommy, James, Ricky, Lawrence or even Dennis? Not even a slight tid bit. Shows how incredible and rare all of these guys are, and make them stand out from the crowd even more than before. My favorite band BY FAR, quite literally on a plane all their own. No one can come remotely close to these guys for me. And Tommy of course is my favorite musicians by far, too. Legends, no matter how many tickets they sell, how "relevant" and popular they are now, and no matter if they're in some hall of fame or not. Absolutely at the tip top of legendary. I could not be more happy, thankful and thrilled to live in a time where I get to enjoy all the music they create through the years. Fills my being and heart with happiness and gratitude!

It's so nice to hear an old 70's style rock song fresh off the press! Lack of this style music is why many of us don't even bother to turn our radios on anymore. Do I wish the band was all original, had all their own teeth and hair and still got along with one another? Yes, but that's not reality now is it. The Beatles split up and we still got great music out of all of them. Did we want to see a Beatles reunion? Sure but deep down we knew it would probably never happen. Rather than wait around for Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and other great bands from the past to reunite I'll settle for the solo stuff their individual artists put out. It's still 1000 percent better than most of the crap the current radio stations push.

I worry saving us from ourselves left out our offspring from this. Our offspring have a different mindset from us old people and they don't see from our perspective. I love the message but it gets lost when the youth sees it. They see us as old people that caused the problem and we need to get out of their way to fix it. I disagree with them and I like what Styx represented but I do not like the disconnect because it feels to me like we are watching a religion TV channel instead of real life caring for many things. Not everything is about KZfaq or other social media. Some things are just about life in general back when social media didn't exsist. Life is life. I didn't connect to my parents when social media was in it's infancy. The need to connect face to face matters. Sorry to preach to you :( I mean well and goodness. I am only 1 opinion but I will share mine. Teach youth to never lie and never cheat and never steal. Never take what isn't earned. Respect others. Love all even the ones you are mad at. Never be a hypocrite. Be what you ask from others. Give dignity and honor to others even if you think they don't deserve it. Learn learn learn and learn more. Never give up. Love your enemy because your enemy is probably a friend that you got mad at for who know what reason. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance that has been accepted as bliss is unfortunate. Sorry to anyone that enjoys blissfull ignorance. Blah blah blah with my preaching. Sorry to all.
@Khanflomah-co1rg9 ай бұрын
This isn't styx.. lead vocalist matter.. you can't just swap out the lead singer of a band with a guy that had an odd voice. It's like replacing the lead singer of gunz and roses with Bruce Springsteen. It's a band, but it's not gunz and roses. They should have found a guy that could come close. Like Chicago did with Peter Cetera being swapped.
