True why they still stick with a PESA is beyond me. And why a plane whose design was more towards slow speed maneuverability is being upgraded into a BVR fighter without changing much. They just added a long range missile (claimed) , fiddled with the FCS, added engines with a bit more power and called it a day. It has all the built quality, engine quality issues as the older one. It still doesn't even have a modernised cockpit. It still bleeds energy.

Not only the r37 or r77, the unsung hero is not even mentioned often is the r27, r27 can even track 5th gen fighters since it tracks the enemy's radar and not the radar signature, which gives a potent offense to the flankers and help keep the stealth enemy defensive until the flankers come close.

Russia is a vast country, geography is such that you need large fighters same is the case with Su57, my thought is that IAF backed out of FGFA only because of the size of aircraft, they did not want to compromise on the RCS value, but it is best suited for Russians.

I'm a russian aviation fan, no qualms about it but given how modern combat is turning out to be, I've two complaints with the 35 and induction of the 35 in the IAF if it comes to that. 1. RCS, seems like a problem that we face with our su30s too. Nothing we can do about it apart from using it in tandem with our lower RCS rafales and tejas as that will ensure surprise. 2. BVR capability : although with the R77-1 and R-37 being very capable missiles, the US Counterparts carry more amraams to subdue their counterparts. If most of the oppositition can sling amraams and keep the enemy defensive and close the distance while the enemy is notching and doing defensive manoeuvres then its a win-win for platforms like the 15ex that's essentially a missile truck.

Let's not push the panic button. However pressure should be mounted on all stakeholders to expedite delivery of Tejas Mk1A, Mk2, Prototypes of Amca, tedbf, etc. MRFA with full TOT hopefully will be expedited. If Dassault is not willing we better opt for another aircraft that can match the Rafale.

You are comparing 1 sqm RCS su35 with 25 sqm RCS of f15ex. Su35 will detect it at 400km and f15ex will have to come 150km close to detect su35.

It's radar is PESA, not AESA and despite its long range, it's mean time between overhaul, duty cycle (ability to sustain highest power modes) are very short compared to AESA Radars. Also, it's prone to Jamming by advanced jammers using the AESA antenna, like the one is Rafael, Typhoon and advanced versions of F-15 and F/A-18. And it's actual tracking range against reduced RCS fighters like our own Rafale is below 150 km. That 400 km range is a marketing gimmick, only possible in a very narrow angle, within a 10 degree cone, doing queued search or search in a small area, already pointed by other Radars like an AEW&S aircraft.

@@Vartik-jr4qr Dude, don't make up stuffs and try learning a bit rather than posting pure gibberish. Any Antenna which used Electronic Scanning is called Phased Array. Both AESA and PESA are phased array radars. What you heard somewhere but probably did not understand is that BARS radar and Irbis-E use Hybrid ESA antenna where although the transmitting is done via single transmitter, during receiving of the reflected signal, each of the TR modules uses its own signal amplifier to amplify the received signal. That does give it a better Signal to Noise or SN ratio compared to normal PESA but that does not make it nowhere closer to an AESA radar.

You must also know that along with AESA and PESA, there are also DBFA(Digital beam forming array) and the HBFA(Hybrid beam forming array) and i am talking about this phased array only (HBFA) which is made by "combination" of AESA and DBFA which means in the russian phased array radars each subarray has it's own digital receiver and thus forming multiple simultaneous beams to be formed. This makes russian radars have anti jamming capabilities like AESA meanwhile retaining the power input it needs. I hope you understand the details before saying "making up stuff"

No, instead of purchasing Su35 we should opt Al41 engines of Su35 for our Su30. Else our indigenous super sukhoi upgrade will enhance the capability of Su30 MKI on that standard. Best configurations of Su30 MKI would be - 1. Astra mk3, Meteor, Astra mk2, Astra mk1 for BVR range 2. Bramhos NG, ROCKS, RAMPAGE for ground attack 3. Rudram 1,2,3 anti radiation missiles for targeting enemy air defence 4. SPICE, SAAW for bombing 5. R73, Python 5, MICA, AASRAM for short range missile I think with these configuration Su30 MKI would be more versatile than Russian Su35

Kh55 easily travel from crimea to kyiv regularly, the distance is 1600km and yes about su57, i am sure f35 with 200km radar and 160km obsolete missile can compete with 400km radar and 400km R37 missile, right?😁

@@AshKetchum-kk3puf35 only good at one thing it's stealth but In order to called a jet 5th gen . jet should have these features 1 manuarabiltiy 2 stealth 3 supercruise 4 Sensor fusion 5 networking F35 lack 3 features so f35 is only 4+++ gen fighter jet with stealth But su 57 have manuarabiltiy 1. Supercruise 2.Stealth but not that good 3.Sensor fusion And 5. Networking

This beast is highly visible on radar...anti aircraft systems can take this down easily....I believe every good fighter jet is a beast. The only thing that differs is how much they visible on radar.
