Bi han protected his brothers. he loved his younger brothers. For those confused, just to clarify, Bi Han does acknowledge Smoke as a Lin Kuei, the keyword was blood. He was angry that Smoke was lecturing about their father’s teachings and traditions so he pulled the blood card.

Something tells me in the pass two timelines Bi-Han respected Smoke to the point that even Smoke was down with Kuai Liang to help him Avenge Bi-Han's death. Too bad we didn't get the Kick ass Bi-Han Sub-Zero we missed out on in the pass two timelines because it still lead to him being written as Noob Saibot.
