Andrew Quartararo ive never seen that corner so slick. It was like ice. I originally blamed the tires, but in hindsight, that corner was just like driving on ice.

To be fair being in a passenger seat feels different then being behind the wheel.

QuavyGames yeaa i can totally relate to that. When i go all out in the drivers seat i dont feel scared at all. But when i switch to the passengers seat and my friend gets behind the wheel i crapped my pants. Totally different experienced being the driver and passenger.

Darren G. most of the "big budget" films are going to be for drive. Not all, but most. I like this plan for videos; everyone seems to find it more relateable and they are cheaper and easier for me to make. Win/Win

Tj was a good sport but his channel is all fluff and over the top I can't stand it. Like 'i made the loudest brz ever!' or cleavage thumbnails of the girlfriend ... Clickbait and drama are for a certain type of person. This series was awesome until he decided to move on; new personality doesn't work the same but maybe I like not getting those watch prerolls now :p I suppose after 3 years he needed to move on, but it was brilliant and relatable.

haha right! should have warmed up those tires prior and it seems like his suspension setup isn't tuned. judging by the video, the rear is too hard and maybe could use a corner balance. the passenger kind of killed the vibe with how terrified he looked. i understand that's his car and he had a complete stranger driving and downshifting into second a bunch haha. thats what he signed up for tho. other than that great video. you may have to leave tj at the top next go!

Driving in a straight line takes little/no skill. Knowing when to shift and knowing you gear ratios on those windy roads makes you a better driver. Also, move out of California..... 94 octane available everywhere else. That car requires 93 or higher. Stupid millenials.

TheSmokingTire I'm looking forward to that. Old gen or newer body? As much as I'd like to see someone really go nuts with a new gen chassis, I don't know if anybody's really do so. Here's to hoping. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how it handles. The stock geometry as well as the 6-speed diff and power delivery makes for some handling challenges, and I'm always curious how people go about solving them. I've been high and firm, low and firm, with the 5-speed, and with the 6-speed and been through a pile of suspension configurations over the years. Sometimes the car drives intuitive and beautifully. Then you change a fundamental characteristic and everything ends up completely different and both the setup and driving approach can vastly change. Since it's a track used car, it'll likely be pretty well sorted.

jshaw6600 Good plans. Our cars are always a work in progress. Small notes on plans: 1000cc injectors are too small for E85 and a 20G. Go top feed and 1300cc or up fuel pressure a good bit to make the 1000ccs work (need a fuel pump with retained high pressure flow levels too, DW300 might squeak you by, but a Walbro 460 will give you headroom. A DW300 will still work with the stock fuel pressure controller though. 2004 STI Brembo brakes are a worthwhile upgrade, bye bye almost all the pad knockback, not to mention good wheel fill. You will also need an upgraded clutch from the oem STI one. It'll start slipping in the low 20psi range for the torque you'll produce on E85. How you liking the projectors? That's an upgrade I've been contemplating as a new year plan.

Ehh, Matt can really wheel. Seemed like the kid hasn't pushed the car all that hard, but even if he had I'm sure Matt can really keep the momentum up through the corners where an amateur really couldn't.

It's a lot different when someone else is driving and you are the passengers. The passenger doesn't know what is going on in the drivers head, he doesn't know when Matt is going to brake or accelerate.
