I’ll be buying a 2025 as soon as it comes available. My reasons are the changes in sheet metal, sound insulation, and structural elements resulting in an improved ride and noise level. None of which you mentioned.

I prefer the look of the '24 - it's more creative.

Unfortunately, when I first saw the front-end of the 2025 Subaru Forester, the first car I thought of was the Kia Seltos and I can't get past it. I'm open for change, but I'd much rather go with the 2024 Subaru Sport.

2025 looks like a ford escape, the 2024 looks more bold and stands out from other suvs in its class. Do away with the engine auto shut off, then I will consider trading in my 2017.

I'm going with the 2024 because of the raised roof rails. I feel like a set of Yakima or Thule cross bar are more secure with the wrap around towers rather than the more flush mounted rails. I also like the knobs to control heat/cool rather than relying on the touch screen for controls.

My wife purchased a Limited 2024 last month. Great vehicle on snow and ice. I have to admit I like the body style of the 2025 better. I like the analog controls in the 24 vs the screen controls of the 25. Curious as to the colors offered for 2025.

the 25 is an improvement in every way. It has more power, quieter, nicer ride, steering, safety, comfort and better tech all around. After test driving both I was blown away at how much better the 25 is, I ordered a Touring!

They have had that big screen in the Outback for a while. If it fails, it is a $3K part to replace. I kind of like having the screens separated like in the older models than the larger screen. But I will cross that bridge in a couple of years when I replace my 2019.

Just picked up a 2023 left over for a $700 lower base price...(save that cash and get the additional accessories you like) , lower finance rate (3.9%) , AND a CD player now no longer available in the 2024 and beyond models. I'd go with the 2023/2024 all day long although Id would try and find a 2023 leftover if possible. Same exact car otherwise. I Don't like the 11.6 Screen and losing the physical HVAC controls. Plus the 5th gen IMHO just has nicer body lines. Anyone know if the 2025 will still be made in Japan or will it be moved to the Indiana factory? I was a service advisor for Toyota for 5 years and I can tell you the Japan made Camrys defiantly had a better fit and finish. Not a huge difference, but enough to notice. Being a patriotic American, It pains me to say, but there is a whole different mindset when it comes to pride in workmanship and QC.

I'm definitely getting the 2024. However, I would prefer to wait for the competitive body style of the 2025 model.

Disappointed that they removed the CD player in the 2024.

One deciding variable not known at this writing is price. How much more for the 25? All things equal, I'm confident the 25 will be the better buy, with better enhancements all the way, a better ride, smoother, with sharper handling, and quieter.....with better residuals.down the road. I will go for the 25 and give up my 23... I do wish the cup holders had a removeable cup so it can be cleaned.

The 2025 model is as different from the 24 just as the 2010 Outback was from the 09. The 25 offers a much more mainstream design both in exterior and interior. The design is quite understated, and still is quite no nonsense.

Lease is coming due on my 2021. Will be looking for the 2024 only. The 2025 leaves me flat disappointed. The full touchscreen is a HUGE disappointment. I find touchscreens very distracting as they force you to take your eyes off the road due to no tactile feel. The styling looks like every other compact SUV on the market.

Old one much better

Comparing exterior photos of the new Subaru shot with long lens and the old Subaru shot with wide lens does not give the viewer the true appearance they have in person. The long lens almost allways gives better impression caused by the compressed perpsective.

2024 is better to me

I love how it looks in the sport trim just got even better. I love the bronze. It's so sexy and it's just way more better stands out for me. Looks like by four but I actually don't care. what happen with the cd player?

I am going to wait till Sept 24 and buy a new 24 leftover , by then they will be discounting them maybe under invoice to blow them out. the 25s I dont like that they integrated the a/c and other components into the computer touchscreen , I like the knob controls better , less things to go wrong. I am a little perturbed that all the extras that they include on the premium edition, which is well worth it, they do not put body side moldings on the car, I will pay for that feature.

I will buy Tucson hybrid to replace my 2012 forester. Subaru disappointed me by not releasing hybrid model in new forester.

2025 cosmetic update….i should have came with a hybrid version and they couldn’t even do that. I got the 2024 and happy with it.

Very disappointed in the exterior styling for 2025. It looks less like a Subaru and more like a (God forgive me) Ford. Ugh.

2025 is disappointing. The front end looks heavy-I need to see if the wilderness will have a better front end and higher clearance for off-roading.

2024- by far better looking and proven reliability. No way am I buying the first year of anything.

What I'm disappointed about is the fact that there's dual exhaust exhaust they have moved the driver select off of the bottom panel that was right by your shifter into the 11.6-inch display so now there's just boring space there and as far as the styling is concerned if you look at the Subaru Foresters that were before the model year and shape that you see now this 20/25 looks just like the old old version just updated

24 has loose steering..they fixed this I hope

Subaru has a BIG problem with an undersized battery and a flawed charging algorithm in their computer. Also they are in denial to customers with this long standing problem. I would not buy another Forrester.

I hope Subaru has fixed the woeful bluetooth system on the Forester where your apple watch bluetooth interferes and needs to be disabled before you can play music from your iphone. This is a long standing problem.

2024! X 100! I bought a Forester Sport (2023) very disappointing to see 2025 model. As others rote: looks like a Ford.... And I hate that brand. Long life to 2024 model. 🤟🏻

SABURA >> if you reading this please bring back CD player. My Outback Touring XT has it :) I know a lot of people of my generation who live their CDs. As a second car the choice is important; either Outback Touring or Forester Touring; CD player is important :)

Get those ridiculous 19” wheels off that forester. I have a forester with 18s and already have a bent wheel and cracked mount due to pot holes. Today’s cars don’t have enough rubber on the road, and it’s all in the name of bling.
