You can’t because you need access to the clips on the back of the grill. At first I was hoping I just had to pop the hood and I would have access but the radiator blocks it

The TR580 trans we have has a filter in the trans that is not serviceable. You would need to rip out most of the transmission to get to it .There is also a screen filter in the pan but it’s useless. To protect the transmission we could install a external transmission filter . Check amazon under external transmission filter kit. The reviews on some of the kits are horrible but there must be a good one out there . The unit gets installed on the return line that comes from your transmission cooler located by the firewall on the passenger side . I want to do the mod but I can’t come up with a location to install kit . You are reckless and have a huge set . You probably will find a way to mount it on the firewall. I am not that creative and I will flip out if I screw up . If it’s something your interest ed in please go for it . I am working on a custom catch can for the p c v valve . Give me a place to send you the set up and I will send it to you after the weather breaks in nj . You have basically a brand new car. If you're not certain of your abilities, don't do it. Why take the chance? Subaru also sells mesh grills that are direct replacements. Maybe go that route. They're fairly straightforward to replace.

Ten Of Diamonds yeah but that Subaru mesh grill is about $200+, and the replacement grill part is $43 so makes a lot more sense to take my chance on a plastic piece I can replace for less than 1/4 the price

You could always stick it on there with some adhesive. I wouldn’t suggest it though. You can also try to cut the grille in a way that allows you to keep the emblem.

I think you could sink two (or more) screws into the emblem through the mesh.

So find a friend who has one.
