In this video, I attempt to do #sublimation #printing #customimages on #stretchcanvas from the #dollartree . This is my second attempt to perfect a method I had in my head that in theory would work in real life so lets give it a go and see if this works! Lightly damp the back of the canvas with water, let it dry and the canvas will be tight for an even print..

i was thinking of also selling canvas, what you can do is just buy a canvas roll, cut it to size, and rap the canvas urself. you can also print straight on the canvas

You need to use a lamination sheet first for it to work.

Alguien sabe si se puede sublimar por calandro? Ya que me dijeron que no es posible, porque necesita mas tiempo de calor. O sea, que solo se puede sublimar con plancha manual, o como le llamen.

Are the settings still the same as when you set up the printer?

Hi! For the most part yes except I no longer print on high quality when I use sublimation paper. I just print using the premium presentation matte paper setting with standard ink. When I use regular copy paper, I print with standard vivid output quality. Other than that everything else is the same. Hope that answered your question and thanks so much for watching!

Use a staple remover and take the canvas completely off, no issues that way.

How did you get it to sublimate on 100% cotton

H! You can totally sublimate on untreated 100% cot6ton IF and hares the key part you don't wash it. So, for this canvas it works because I don't plan on gett6ing it wet. The sublimation ink will transfer to the canvas, it just won't permanently bond. So you can always spray it after with a sealing spray or coat it with resin. If you plan on sublimating on a cotton garment however, you will need to pretreat with a polyester coating made for clothes if you want the image to stay. Hope that helped and thanks for watching!

Hi! Generally, you're right about cotton not being able to be sublimated on but what most people might not know is that the image WILL transfer, it just won't permanently bond to the fabric so if you sublimate on a cotton shirt for example, after you wash it the first time, it will wash off. But if you sublimate on something you don't plan to wash or get wet it will work. You can always top it off with a sealing spray or coat it with resin too. Get a heat press, use laminate or 100% polyester fabric and stable down. This is a big no for me

This does not work on light colors , I tried it and it came out very light. And I had no choice but to paint over it. The plus is on some of my arts I can use this technique instead of sketching out myself

how did you get it to sublimate on where its 100 percent cotton

Hi! The print will transfer onto 100% cotton , it just wont permanently bond so you have to eith4er not get it wet or top coat with a sealing spray or resin. This method ony works on non clothng items or things you wont normally get wet or wash. Hope that answered your question. Thanks so much for watching!
