Lol thankyou Robert, the 1st year I started plowing I was having a hell of a time getting my 6 16s set, and at one point my dad said if gramp was here he'd tell us straight away what we were doing wrong, he's prolly rolling in his grave watching us struggle with this, and I took that to heart made it my mission to understand these things, now I think Gramp would be proud.

Man yeah!!!!! Been waiting on this one, and thank you TIM for taking the time to video it while you were having all the issues!!! Thai one will get many views from me, as the day approaches to try my hand at plowing like this!! Very well put together, and you covered almost every question I have had ...but that doesn't mean I won't have more 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hope to find that tail wheel bracket ASAP and get this thing going! It has been a struggle so far this season, but I have more equipment now than I did....so the time is fast approaching!! Boy that wheel adjust WONT go anything like yours did 😢😢😢😢🤦🤦🤦 They say IH can really be a bear for sure!! I honestly can say I havent seen a better instructional video on the tips and tricks, for that THANK YOU sir!! My confidence level just went up a few notches now!! Glad to hear all the tractors are going well and things are looking good!! Maybe by the time I am ready, you will be finished planting and I can REALLY aggravate you then🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously though, thanks a million my friend for all the great advice, tips, and tricks!! Your welcome Nelson, you'll have more questions Thers a few things I left out, lie hay commented below, I didn't explain headlands, the area at the end of the fields that don't get plowed, how to finish them. Check out my response to his question. I can't wait to see you pulling that plow, with that tail piece coming you got everything you need to start turning some dirtand I cant wait lol, with your mower down your gonna have some great green manure to roll down too!!

Furgeson attachment system slow, cumbersome. AC invented the Snap Coupler system that was quick, easy and lots of adjustment.

We had a big pull type Oliver plow I liked. When you had it set up the way you liked it, it was mostly plug and play from year to year.

We've got a4 bottom oliver pull type, I really like that plow does a great job and like your said plug and play!

my last tractor was a 7045 non power shift. it was a beast had it overhauled with MW sleaves and pistons. l think. but that tractor would start easy!! we put it on the auger cart for that reason. pump was set 10 over stock. now l am retired my big tractor is a 1960 D 17 l have aWD WD45 36WC, my youngest boy has a RT120 and a 7045 and loader with over 10000 hour with orginal motor! he has a custom baling business. he has owned a 7080 and 8070 both but likes the RT on the baler. l be watchin!!!!!

Thank you. I try to go to at least 2 plow days a year and I have a plow day here at the farm every may. It's my favorite type of diuretic work.

Thankyou Scott, I tried to cover everything about the plows on this one. I even read the book before making the video again so it was fresh on my mind. And this tractor has A/C I was just trying to soak in some of that wonderful vitamin D, at least I still had pants on 😆 in the hot cabs I've been know to go in my skibbies 🤷‍♂️ I've got no shame when it's that hot would rather be in a hay mow all day that to spend a couple hours in a 7000 series cab with no air conditioning, one year I brought a thermometer one direction down the field with the wind at your back it would reach 160 degrees at the steering wheel.

You can lengthen the left 3 pt arm if your right one ran out of adjustment

I didn't either until I couldn't figure out my 6 16s plow. Nothing was working right about every problem I talked about having was wrong with that thing, come to find out the people before me was trying to use it as an on land plow with a500hp 4wd 🤦‍♂️ they had center line all messed up and heights of the hitch, I kept getting pulled into the furrow and front end up.

When adjusting a semi-mounted plow that is attached with a 3pt quick hitch, is the adjustment the same as one that mounted without a quick hitch? (Ie just lift the right arm of the link etc?)

It’s like cars, you buy what’s best for your budget,not what you want. Do you think that is the toughest riding tractor brand you’ve driven? We tried one and it beat us to death. That was during Deeres 40 series era. I still think the hydraulic seats Deere had were the best

My neighbor let me borrow his 4 bottom plow, I think it is an Allis Chalmers model 80 or 82. It has trip mechanisms. I need to replace the shares, where do you get yours? Is there a good aftermarket?

At this point where ever I can find them. It's getting far and between finding parts for them. I had to order some that where a little bit different and modify them to fit this spring, also had to make a bunch of shins and a bottom myself, best thing I can say is to look online, I wish I could could help more.

In, so that it covers the ruts left from pulling out at the end, gives your disc some dirt to work with, and then the last pass I only pull it about 3 inches deep so I don't have a huge furrow around the field that needs to be fixed next year with the plow. The disc will fill in 3 inches usually with one pass. But this year I didn't plow any headlands I want the turn around area with the organic I've only been successful in growing weeds and grass on those areas.

I wish I had a truckload of that dirt for my vegetable plants living in Florida there's nothing but sand and nothing grows here I've been making soil for three years composting and buying bags at Home Depot it's getting better but it don't look like that dirt you got

Week if you ever make it to Illinois. I'll give ya a truck load lol. Everyone in the area would be jealous of your garden it sounds like. I've read that out area has some of the best dirt in the world for agriculture. Then I build the soil with confer crop so I like to think my dirt is a little better than other fans around me.
