I played this album many times when I was in the university .As a sculpture student, I always worked late at night alone in a studio there. It's like I was in another world. The music was loud but it seemed so quiet at the same time. A loud whisper in the vast space. Sometimes people there came to see me, they mostly loved the music. One time, my friend came in, standing there quietly for a moment and then he asked me " What kind of music is this?". I had no idea what it's called at the time and said "I don't know". He stayed there with me for a while. I really miss that time. (Sorry for my English though :))

My fiance showed me this album when we first started dating and he was so happy to finally find someone else who liked beach house as much as he did, he showed me new songs almost everytime we saw one another, he said bloom was his favorite album that it spoke to him make him feel at peace. He had passed away not too long ago and though this makes me cry listening to it now, it takes me back to those times of him and I young and in love listening to this driving down the highways. This, for me, will always be their best album. It's an absolute hit from beginning to the very end... So balanced and cohesive, and so emotional. It truly is a masterpiece.

As a divorced dad, who recently lost his kids and most of life, hearing "New Year" breaks my heart every time, cannot hear that song without crying. So stunningly gorgeous and healing. Hits me so hard in the happies though

This album is perfection.

Unlike anything else. A vivid, lucid, poignant dream come true. True love, and the feelings that are somehow unattainable on this Earth, but exist fully in this captured hour.

I know it sounds odd. I sit down with a cup of coffee, read the walking dead (graphic novel) and play this album. Something about it's dreamy, depressive yet engrossingly joyful tone lends itself to the theme. I stumbled upon Beach House when hearing "hours" played at a coffee house. Asked the dude who it was "ah man it's a band called Beach house. Check em out". So glad I did. Beach house takes me places I want to go. Like a dream you want to dream over and over. Set's me at ease. I don't know how they do it.

Not sure why it took me so long to discover Bloom & Beach House, I'm just glad that I did! I'm 41 years old & I'm absolutely in love with this album.❤ I've had it on replay daily each morning when I'm putting my makeup on & getting ready to start my day.😊

I started listening to BH before I graduated high school in 2013. It's been 5 years and this album has been with me through depression, suicidal thoughts, breakups and graduations. I'm going to get a tattoo of the cover art on my arm. I thought my ex was my rock... but people come and go. Music stays with you forever. Reading through the comments here, it warms my heart to see how this music has helped other people too. Listening to this in different stages in my life- I pick up on the ecstasy and the sadness. It's fantastic. What's great is that it continues to unveil something new to me as I go through life- which is something I haven't discovered in any other album. I really thank God for Victoria and Alex- they feel like older siblings to me. thank you thank you thank you. They're so vulnerable- it's beautiful.

From start to finish this is one of the most beautiful, heartbreaking, and sonically blissful albums I've heard. I feel like I go through the 5 stages of grief every time I listen to it.

The drumbeat in "Wild" was made with a Casiotone CT-360 from 1987. I accidentally found it while messing around with this really cheap vintage keyboard that I bought for almost nothing.

This album and band goes so well with my anxiety and depression, extreme isolation and struggles with addiction, love lost and loneliness. The building blocks of my life now

Helped put my sister's dog down tonight. Had "on the sea" playing on the headphones on the drive home and all I could think about , was how she looked thinking she was just in for a routine checkup. She wanted to go home, but she had a stroke and tumors were starting to show on the side of her belly. I acted I wasn't going to cry, but now this song will always remind me of that moment. Although she wasn't my dog, I was very close to her and often watched her like my own. Love your furries and cherish what little time you have with them. 🥺😢

this one is a 10, teen dream is a 9.9, depression cherry a 9.8. And that's just a matter of preference, i just happen to come back to this one slightly more. They're all so damn good

Wherever you go is so underrated, one of my favorites of this record, it is as if Beach house gave you a warm hug after being there with them during a long long cry and sharing meditated thoughts.

Hands down, my favorite Beach House record. This is bliss.

This is the first thing I've ever heard by Beach House. I am in love.

This sound made me feel weird... I've watched old pictures and the combination made my heart sink and I felt dizzy .... Like im missing something. Missing hard.

I recently got to hang with my cousin for the first time in ten plus years. We both are adults now and it’s almost like we forgot how close we were when we were young. She was one of my closest friends. We were at a wedding and decided to dip off and smoke a joint on a paddle boat. She whipped out a fatty and we floated while listening to this whole album while we caught up with each other. I love who she’s become and I now love Beach House.

This is the kind of music you have been searching without conciously knowing and when you find it you feel complete for the time lasting. Great stuff! Immidiately bought the album after hearing this!

Going to totally brag right now but... the other night my wife and I were having date night at home (quarantining) and we had stars projected on the ceiling and a candle lit dinner and this album playing. When I went upstairs to check up on our 9 year old son, he was still awake. I asked him why he was still awake. He said "because that music is so beautiful I didn't want to fall asleep and miss it." I felt so proud of the little music appreciator that we have created.

It took so long to discover this band. But, Iam glad that finally i got it

I would go as far as to say that Beach House "Bloom" album is the best album of all time, it is as close to heavenly as one can get, unlike anything I heard before. They deserve the highest compliments one can give. this is just my humble two cents on this.

I currently am in high school and in a couple of days I will hopefully graduate. This past month has been very rough for me, because studying so hard when you're enduring a heavy chronic illness at the same time is particularly difficult, at least for me. This album has been keeping me company since then. I've always deeply loved Beach House, but I think that even in 10 years, if I still am living in this earth, I will remember listening to this incredible album, along with some others, for entire nights while studying for the exams that would officially determine the end of my teenagehood, although I've lost it a long time ago. I am so thankful for these amazing artists gifting us their mesmerizing art, I feel calmer when listening to them, so calm that I almost forget about my chronic pain. They truly are special.

i first started listenig to BH in 2008, and here i am in 2019 still totally in love with their music. not many bands i can say that about honestly..

I'm working from home and this is the BEST music to listen to while working.

So there I was with my 3yr. old daughter, who I hadn't seen for months, during a supervised visit at McDonald's, then Beach House plays. I will never forget that moment for some reason.. It gave me hope and a silver lining amongst a very dark cloud in my life.
