I've been asked to compare the ETFs BGBL and VGS (which I will also be comparing to the IOO ETF). I will explore their historic returns* AUM and bid ask spread, and offer my opinion on if these ETFs deserve a place in your investment portfolio.

Would your advice differ depending on whether an investor already holds IOO or is just starting out? It seems to me there are good reasons, such as transaction costs and capital gains tax, for sticking with one's existing EFTs, even as newer, lower-cost, more-diversified ETFs grow their AUMs and prove their index tracking. But, someone who is just starting out may be better off investing in the newer ETFs?

Is there more concentration risk with IOO compared to VGS? As in the top ten holdings of IOO is a bigger percentage than VGS? How is the IOO index contructed i.e. how do they pick the 100 companies?

Question, this has probably been answered so plz link me to the relevant video; as a young person 19-22, working full-time with a steady income, what do you think is the best investment? For me my end goal is to have my finances sorted by 30-35 (which I have been told is possible with being consistent w investing) or at least on track to a very strong position. I have been told buying property, doing it up for 2 yrs with my dad who's a tradie (I am not), then selling it for a capital growth and rinsing and repeating is a good strategy. I've also been told that buying your first investment property and trying to get it neutrally or positively geared, and buying a whole bunch of investment properties is also a good idea. My thoughts are in the short term (1-2yrs) whilst saving up for a deposit, put my money into ETFs and consistently deposit $600 a week into that, wait a few years for it to grow and save, and then deploy one of the property investment strategies. Not sure if this would be better than just putting it all into the stock market but what's your suggestion?
Should I buy an investment property or shares?
