A lot of times if you buy a part cab the paperwork on it is no good and then you can't use it on the road because vin swaps are illegal so the easiest way of having a legal on the rd is just use parts and keep the cab with the good paperwork

If i cut the rear body off of my suburban and cut the rear wall off a Silverado, would it match up?

i m trying to do this to a suburban i have wondering if i could remove the suburban cab and put the truck one on

Yes, you can totally do that but the rear body mounts will be different. The main reason I kept the front of mine is for the Vin numbers California is especially weird about cab swaps and what not.

@@flossymissiles i am from nj i don’t believe they care about cab swaps much but they love copying california is laws so don’t know if they will change that i m planning on using a single cab do you know if that would be easier or the same understand body mounts might not be placed the same not that hard to cut them off and hold them though
