Hello and welcome to SubwaySim Hamburg!
We're going to be taking a journey on the latest subway/metro simulator from Aerosoft, SubwaySim Hamburg! This game recreates the full line U3 and gives us the type DT5 to drive along the way. This 45 minute route forms a circle around the city of Hamburg, Germany, and comes into contact with various other U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines as we go.
There's a nice mix of overground and underground sections and the route is certainly not boring. It's by no means perfect but as you'll find out from the video, I think this game has real potential!

There are numbers between the tracks, showing the stopping points (3, 4, 6 & H) - easy to miss

Ah yes, but on Subwaysim Hamburg you just drive to the end of the platform, regardless of length... shame really that they didn't implement stopping at the stop boards

To be frank, I don't think the price is too much. Considering that most train sim addons, as well as OMSI addons aren't much cheaper and they're mostly trash. This game isn't cheap but the scenery is beautiful and spot on. I'd rather pay more and have a really accurate scenery than paying half and getting lots of recycled buildings and stations with just a different name slapped onto it.

HDR is high dynamic range. you need a really good monitor that has HDR 1000 minimum for it to be any good

I have been watching rail videos for a long time but never actually played one myself. I don't have a great laptop, fairly bog standard, and certainly not a gaming laptop. However, are there any rail simulators that I could buy that would work? Or any online sims that I could try? Thank you.

Poor Joe - having to suffer two collossally poor releases in as many days; SubwaySim Hamburg and City Driver; both released in a hideous state, both with thin, lifeless sound, both *should* be excellent (great in concept), both as dull as a door mat.

I like your comment... and I agree there's so much potential with both of them. They're good looking games but they just don't "grab" me and make me hungry to play more... it's like an omelette... nice enough but there's much more exciting foodstuffs out there
