Logan’s subtle smile in the final scene when Kendal stabs him in the back… he realizes he was wrong and Kendal is a killer. Fucking brilliant show

I think Kendal's main motivation has ALWAYS been his fathers approval... The reason he betrays him is because Logan keeps taunting him on he's not a killer.. It's almost like Logan is baiting him, or challenging him to take control... It's a weird father son, king heir apparent dynamic --- that I'm not sure either are 100% conscious of what dictates their behavior and decisions.

We gotta mention Kendall yelling at Logan for slapping Roman. He was ready to knock his old man down physically if he needed too. Little foreshadowing for the end scene that he’s always had what it takes

Binged this show cause of you guys and did not dissappoint. So many things to talk about with all the characters but my favorite moments are the little ones with the sibling. When Kendall and Shiv talk and he just breaks down once they hug or after Logan names Kendall to take the blame on the yacht and Roman immediately hops in to defend Kendall like "Yo Dad what the fuck?"

Logan’s character in this show is terrifying. When Kendall flipped the script at the end of season 2 during the press conference was so damn satisfying lol.

I googled the lyrics and discovered this… “A1 ratings, 80K wine Never gonna stop, baby, fuck father time Bro, don’t get it twisted, I’ve been through hell But since I stan Dad, I’m alive and well” The idea of Kendall stan-ing his dad is the most hideous and hilarious sentiment in what is the most hideous and hilarious rap ever created 🤣🤢

I recently binged Succession because you guys kept gushing about it and it didn't disappoint. It's great, high quality entertainment. I hate these characters and love them at the time. I'm rooting for Kendall tho cannot wait for season 3. Also love your review as well!

I just finished rewatching S1 and S2 today! Kendall, Greg, and Tom seem to be the ones who are finally ready to face up to the abusive nature of the family. I wonder if Tom will be leaking info to Kendall in S3? He seems done with with Logan and Shiv.

alright I'll be the nerd to give the trivia drop of having Bryan Cox and Danny Huston doing scenes together is two different actors who played the same role in the X-Men universe. Both were William Stryker in X2 and the Wolverine Origins misfire, respectively. and Cox here playing a guy named Logan - ha!

Im the second son in my family and growing up me and my younger brother had a similar relationship to Kendall and Roman, constantly competing, fighting, even scheming against eachother but in the end we stood up for eachother when it came to it. You can tell they do actually care about eachother. I love this show

How much of Kendal’s Reek act was real tho? He had to realize - fairly early on - that Logan could only hold the crash over his head for so long before he would become co-liable for the cover-up. By the time they visit the house, Logan cannot dime Kendal without implicating himself. At that point all Kendal has to do is bide his time. Logan’s exposure is sure to create an opening…Great freakin show.

Logan Roy is literally Tywin Lannister and I love to hate them both

The big difference between Tywin and Logan is that Tywin never lied about who he is. Logan is constantly pretending to be a caring father. And the way Logan tried to erase his tooth-destroying slap on Roman, Tywin would have doubled down and blamed his slapee. That’s what’s so abusive about Logan. He gaslights people. He pretends his abuse is not abuse. And it works! The kids see it as a necessary part of business dominance. I think that’s why Kendall’s speech at the end of S2 is so powerful. He calls out Logan’s abuse in plain terms.

I don't watch a lot of tv, but GOT was everything to me for a while. I loved your videos about the show. I am now hooked on Succession, and behaving in a similar way. I have this "hunch" about the names of the characters. I leave it in your worthy hands. Thanks for your insights.

The R Murdoch comparisons are right on, I also see parallels with Trumps kids. Shiv=Ivanka, Kendall=Don Jr., Connor=Eric.

This whole season Kendal was just beat down over and over and I think that it was Logan just trying to get Kendal to have that killer mentality. In season one Kendal could barely say he was doing the bear hug and Logan made fun of him saying he couldn’t even get out what he wanted to say. Compared to how it ended with Kendal being clear and precise and confident I think Logan finally is impressed with him. I don’t think he will right away go to his manslaughter leverage but he’s going to challenge back to fully test Kendal.

I remember joking at the time that the funniest, most bizarre subplot of the season sounded like an Always Sunny episode title -- "Jerry Accidentally Becomes A Dominatrix". Logan's kind of terrifying because he's what a certain other someone could be if they had anything more than the intelligence of a gibbon.
