And the best feature is not unscrewing my valve cores when taking a Lezyne pump off! I ain't THAT picky about pressure so analog it is. I've been looking for something like this for ages! Thanks for the video!

They just need to make a feature where you set the pressure you want and as you are pumping and reach the correct setting, it stops filling the tire and discharges excess air.

Same, My relationship with my handpump is the most long lasting relationship I've ever had, so I was dreading the day I had to replace it with another pump with a gauge. With this gauge I'll be able to stay committed and keep it fresh.

I d o a lot of winter riding on a fatbike and often start my ride with a higher pressure that is needed and need to lower it till i get it dialed in ,i feel this guage would be great as i could drop the pressure and be more accurate ...I usually use a co container to re-inflate if needed and this would also be allowed with the new feature you discribe ,I think for sure i will be buying one ..Thanks for the great info...

I have the 2nd version of their digital gauge. I cannot remember how many years ago I bought it and it still has the original battery. It has one dead pixel but I swear by its accuracy as opposed to three track pumps that are different to each other despite the so called premium they were.

The reason it goes to 160 is because analog pressure gauges are most accurate in the middle of their range. This means a gauge which reads up to 160 is going to be most accurate in the ~80 psi range. This is also why many companies sell gauges with various ranges. Also why you probably wouldn't want to use that gauge on gravel tires since the accuracy won't be as good.

Also the tubular tire can go much higher the 160 psi plus the air removal valve is called a bleed valve. I hope this information is helpful even though it doesn’t pertain to your application. I enjoy your content.

I bought a german small pump recently much like that smaller version on the right in your line up of pumps, with the gauge attached which doesn't look as if it works and is extremely hard to read. I can't tell if any air is going into the tire let alone the pressure! Can't you recalibrate the gauge on the big, stand pump? Surely it can't be that difficult?

They need an adapter to directly screw on a co2 canister so you can fill precisely. Yeah, I'm sure you can use an existing co2 pump but I think it would be awkward.

Yeah, 160psi is ridiculous, especially for such a tiny dial. Hopefully they will create a new version with a larger dial, and a 120psi max road bike version and 60psi max version for everyone else.

Suppose I could gimmick myself with more stuff, and waste time playing with my stuff. Would rather ride. Calibrated thumb works, and does not add to my already huge pile of bike related stuff. As far as my hyper-accurate tire pressure, guess the current world hour record is safe from me breaking it due to super accurate tire pressure.

You didn't review perhaps the most important part of any tire gauge... the accuracy. A convenient and practical tire gauge without accuracy is money tossed down the drain, isn't it?
@PathLessPedaledTV
@PathLessPedaledTV 2 жыл бұрын
Consistency is actually more important. If it is consistently wrong by 2psi you can adjust over time and still find the best psi for your riding.

I had the digital shuttle for about a day... On paper this looked like the ideal gauge... In practise it was completely useless, mainly because it was leaking air from both the adjustment valve and the extension valve... I should have read up more about it, as many more people had experienced the same issues... Rubbish product!

160psi is the supplest pressure of them all... Because you blow your tire up and ride with zero pressure
