Okay so far I've done step one and two. Restarted my lap top and prior to me doing the steps I was getting about 5 to 7 fps in world of warcraft, my cpu is looking more active in task manager now but I already have 29 fps to 34. Going to finish the steps to see just how mad ass this gets.

I'v been playing games on low end computers for the longest time and i recommend don't use step 3 and 64patch, 2nd step is more than enough to boost performance, other steps make little to no impact on performance.

Step 7 should be skipped too, memory "optimizers" don't do anything but force programs currently allocating ram memory onto the page file, which literally just slows down the entire computer. Windows knows how to manage its own programs so that when more ram is needed, a program in moved to the page file so that more ram is freed for some task, then when the task or other is done needing ram memory, Windows automatically moves programs and other such things back to ram memory. Using a memory optimizer just lets you randomely force every program running on ram memory onto the page file, which is just plain counter intuitive. Long story short, just don't get it. Other than that, this guide is really good.

First of all, if you can, dont use windows 10. Opengl support for most of the "legacy" intel hds was broken. So intel hd 2k, 3k, 4k dont have basically any opengl, some just older versions like 1.6. Windows 7 should help with that

Okay, I have macbook pro mid-2012(non-retina) Specs are:- 1. 2.9Ghz core i7 processor. 2. 8gb ram. 3. intel hd 4000. 5. 750 hdd I am the running two games on bootcamp. For some reason the fps is stuck at 30 in black ops despite degrading the graphics. It doesn't increase. but after the following methods, there it is a constant 30 and runs smoothly (at mid graphics settings) with no lag. in modern warfare 3 it is 40 (at mid-high graphics settings). This is the information for someone who isn't sure if he/she should take the pain of downloading and installing if it's going to lag. I also have mw2 which works fine. played the entire game without any trouble.

Step 2, for anyone wondering what it does, it increase the desktop heap limitation. (I just copy/paste the informations XD, correct me if i'm wrong) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems registry subkey, by editing the SharedSection parameter string, you increase the size of the noninteractive desktop heap to allow more processes to be created and run concurrently, ( SharedSection=xxxx,yyyy,zzzz ) Whereby : xxxx specifies the maximum size of the system-wide heap (in kilobytes) yyyy specifies the size of each desktop heap zzzz specifies the size of the desktop heap that is associated with a noninteractive Windows instance The registry changes applies only to programs that are running as services and affects the desktop heap of all services. The default desktop heap size allocated for services is so much smaller than that for applications, Increasing the heap too much will affect the availability of the total available desktop heap, Desktop heap size is not affected by the physical RAM on the computer and cannot be improved by adding physical RAM. If you want to see *real performance increase in your Intel HD On-Board graphics for gameplay*, there are several things you need to do first: *Add memory to your computer*. 12-16gb/RAM will give your Intel HD/AMD graphics 1gb of video ram alone. With less than 8gb/RAM, you get 512Mb of video memory. Period! Bottom line! After I used the info on this *4aLse* video, my framerates actually DROPPED by 5FPS. However, if my system video hadn't already been "tweaked" I MIGHT have seen some increase. Bottom line? the ONLY way to get on-board video to see more memory, is to add memory to your SYSTEM.

Works for me.. With my Intel 5500 4GB RAM Intel Core i3 2.0GHz.. It boost my Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Smoothly(Much Playable than before) much better than earlier settings I have. Not Tested on other games.. will give a feedback after I tested my other games. Tested on the Life is Strange much laggy from before but now.. Wow.. I can play it smoothly too.. Tested on Outlast 2 Nicer and Smoother than before.. Very Playable.. Actually I don't follow the download thingy due to... I don't really trust those enhancer programs.. except CCleaner.. Hello, i have 2 questions, in Step 2, ive done exactly as you did, i had performance upgrade regarding fps and all but i was wondering if that 30000 number could be increased? i have 8GB Ram, i was wondering if i could up the number to about 35000 or even 40000 without any issues, and second why do you put background services and not programs in Step 3 i found that putting in program helps my performance more rather than background services.
