While Crazy Nights does have a few songs I consider to be pure trash, I like the album overall. I just can't do St. Anger. I get what they were trying to do with the raw production and the angriness of the album, but it just didn't fuckin work.

I was so excited when Saint anger came out because it was supposed to be old school Metallica after load and reload. I hate that song when he said tick-tock tick-tock it’s very stupid and the snare drum is terrible in my opinion.

Kiss fan here who hates Crazy Nights and most "post-Lick It Up" albums but actually like most of St. Anger. But not as much as anything that came before it. Lucky me :)

I do like Crazy Nights because it came out at a sentimental time in my life, but I do understand why you and others hate it so I certainly don't mind you bashing it. St. Anger on the other hand...... St.Anger was atrocious. Crazy Nights was cheesey, however KISS is known for fine cheese. I hope Ralph cranked some Sammy Hagar after these musical abominations. 😂

Well done Ralph listening to these 2 turkeys. Took one for the team. This Metallica album is just unlistenable. I've been a huge KISS fan since 77 and I couldn't buy this soft sub par bon joki pap on CD. Not 1 decent track. Here's some KISS news for you. Decades ago I became friends with a few guys in the UK City of Newcastle, purely because of our worship of the hottest band in the world. I've spoken to all these guys lately and none of us are going to see KISS on their last UK tour. Never thought this would happen. They were charging almost 100 pounds to see them at the Newcastle gig. Outrageous price. But guess what has happened today. I've been going to gigs since 1978 and I've never known this happen. Ticketmaster have cut the price of tickets for the gig by 20%! Must be struggling to sell em!

I remember buying Crazy Nights at a used book store for $1.50. I was into original Kiss but I also owned Smashes Thrahes and Hits so I took a chance on this album. I got home and played it. I don't think I listened to ever again. I did however not mind a song or 2 but that's not saying I liked the songs either. I felt as though both Hot in the Shade and Crazy Nights were both filled with filler. It's liked they went into the bin of unreleased material and made 2 albums out of it lol

I was surprised with how many St. Anger songs won on my count, but I nominate “Shoot Me Again” as my least favorite Metallica song not sung by Lou Reed. Count me in as one of those “I’ll Fight Hell to Hold You” fans and I too am digging the new Metallica songs.

St. Anger certainly does have its share of clunkers. But change the production, mix down and the addition of a few acceptable leads and the album does slightly improve…ever so slightly 😃

What I love about KISS is the fact that you can meet a fan and fight over albums :)) I mean Cinderella fans never experience that. "- The first album is the best - Yeah, 100% correct". Yet with KISS you can just arque about various albums until your throats bleed :)) Personally, I'd say "St.Anger" is pretty much equal to "Monster" by KISS. Not even one slightly listanable song on each of them. Both were total garbage made by disinterested tired horses.

Lars sounds like hes in an alley banging on trash cans on this album. Drums are so tinny sounding. Ive tried listening to this album a few times because i love early Metallica so much but I just cant do it.

I pick Crazy Nights only because I like Paul's vocals.... It's a shame most of KISS' albums in the 80s suck, because Paul was in his vocal prime. St. Anger is just garbage. I really don't know how to defend that album without having an aneurysm.

Half of St. Anger is decent, the other half is horrible. The decent songs on St. Anger are still better than Metallica's new garbage from Lux Aeterna. They lost their way and will just rest on their laurels like Rolling Stones, Kiss, etc.
