I had profound hearing loss in my left hear due to idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss. I woke up one day and felt numbness all around my left ear and an internal pressure. Internal pressure lasted till a week and my hearing was muffled, I thought I was having a cold or flu. After a week, I lost all the hearing on the left side and took three steroid injections into the middle ear. Treatment didn't help me restore my hearing. Still doctors haven't found a reason for my hearing loss! All reports are clear. I don't even understand what causes the hearing nerve to die all of a sudden.

Going through this right now on right ear. On corticosteroids already. Very dissorienting to kot be able to determie direction sounds come from. Good luck to you if you are experiencing this right now.

@@sauravpanigrahi2370 Hey. I am doing a lot better. Much of my hearing is back but still have some issue hearing high frequency treble sounds and the sound of people talking softly. I also have some ringing in my ear but it fortunately doesn’t bother me much. I think overall hearing will get better with time hopefully.

For many years I have experienced sudden hearing loss in both ears when I stand up. It only lasts a minute or so. I have had a test at a ENT clinic which simple showed I have very good hearing. I no longer mention this to any dr. because they never have an answer.

I’m 15 and 2 weeks ago I was showering when water got stuck in my ear be water got out the day my ears felt clogged and when I lay down my ears get even more clogged but I’m not sure if it was the water or ear wax because last weekend I was cleaning my ears with a q-tip and my ears feel pressure and I’ve been like this for the past 2 weeks

One year ago i was working out in my home, and i think i applied extra pressure on my ears and something happened to my right ear, then air gets filled in my ear and i have to remove it. 13 years ago I lost my hearing in my left ear over night, never came back, I've been back & forward to ENT specialist MRI scans nothing they can find out what is going on, I now have been referred to a Nurologist, as I am having other symptoms now, sometimes other things can be happening due to hearing loss, getting worried now it's MS or Parkinsonism.

If he gave you antibiotics then there was a suspicion of a bacterial infection inside your inner ear. 1) There's probably nothing you do 2) It's highly likely you'll never hear again. However, one day stem cell treatments would be able to restore some of your hearing but we're probably a few decades away until that treatment becomes available. 3) It will not affect your right ear in the future.

Sometimes how much wax your body produces and is genetic, and also may favor one ear more than the other. It's not rare for my right ear to get clogged even if I shower soapy water in my ears. It's just wax accumulates at a fast rate in that one ear for me.

I woke up a few days ago with my right ear clogged. I cleaned it with my finger in a up and down motion. Lots of wax came out and it started bleeding. Now I can’t hear in my right ear and it feels clogged. I’m scared

I lost some sense of my hearing due to an acoustic trauma.... I was exposed to loud feedback for like an hour my head hurts my ears hurts and I'm really worried cuz It would be hell if I could never make music again I would probably kms.... so the doc gave me some pills and I hope I will be better if not then I really don't wanna live. this is very depressing.

Last year I lost my hearing in my right ear 😢 do to low sugar which caused some sort of 👂 infection I thought this 😣 is it am never going to get my hearing back I took my hearing for granted 😔 looked over thousands of videos on KZfaq looked everywhere on the internet couldn't find anything except bad news I went to a Very good ENT DOCTOR and the next day 😊 and after 3 months of treatment I gained my hearing back I have a whole lot of respect for Def people now 🏵️💐

Wish I could’ve got the steroid cocktail blasted into my cochlea after a 357 went off next to my head. Now all I hear is the damn bells 24/7 and broken speaker effect out of my right ear. Thank god my left ear T is only noticeable in quiet.

I found out why i was getting a hearing loss all the time=It was my pillow, it was full of bacteria so check your pillow and wash it every 3 months.

@AMWF no noticeable symptoms other than a sharp ear pain about 24-48 hours prior, then i woke up and it was gone. my ENT said most likely inflammation caused by a viral infection of the ear

@AMWF around 1 week after loss test showed i had lost around 95+ effectiveness in across most of the spectrum, it has gotten better but mostly on the lower frequency end, deeper voices/ bassy sounds will cut through a little, but it still sounds muffled and much quieter than the other ear. it also comes and goes, some days it works better than others

I’ve randomly been feeling like my left ear is muffled and for 4 days when I stood I would feel dizzy anddd I’m kinda scared cause today both of my ears went just blank for a little and came back:(

You should go see an ENT doctor right away. Especially if you're experiencing hearing loss, start hearing ringing/noise or your equilibrium is off. The sooner, the better recovery. You don't want to end up with permanent hearing loss.

I just recently recovered from hearing loss in my left ear. I woke up with dizziness and everything sounded muffled. I saw an ENT on my 5th day. I had severe hearing loss in my left ear and tinnitus. They put me on corticosteroids and then started injections after my audiogram test improved. I had my last treatment last week and my hearing is pretty much back to normal.

@@Nayelli.h0pew0rld I'm scared From a few days I was feeling that my hearing has decreased so I went to the doctor 2 days ago And the test reports were absolutely fantastic But I'm not able to believe them because From 9 days I was feeling hearing loss still I'm feeling it they gave me tinnex and ginko for Tinnitus and that day my Tinnitus spiked too .... I'm feeling off balance from 9 days but I'm able to go for A long walk Of 3 -4 kilometers plz tell me Will I be normal or....

that hurt like a b**** when the steroids were injected into my cochlea, It's been over a year now, it's not coming back.
