You're gonna need deep drilling to get enough gold and plasteel to go to space, and your miners are going to die horribly from a cave in if you don't leave support walls 12 squares away from the sides. If you do go with deep drilling, watch out for bugs at the drill.

Hey, really enjoying your Rimworld videos man! Just a suggestion though, it's a tad annoying that you changed the characters' names when they already had fine names to begin with. Much harder to keep track of the colonists as a viewer when you rename them out of the blue. If you want to give them new names you should do it asap and stick with them as to not confuse the watchers.

Have you ever thought about using the Color coded mood bar mod to easily see who's about to break? ☺

1. You can change how your colonists react to danger. They can flee from, ignore, or attack the threat. Default option is to flee. Click on your colonist and than to the right of their name will be what looks like a leg. 2. You might have a roof collapse where you are mining. 3. Bionic spines are the best well rounded option if you don't want to get too heavy into bionics. They give better mobility and manipulation. It's my 1st option when I can start making my own. At least if no one is missing a limb or something.

Hey buddy couple of things on mind to make sure you succeed in your venture! In that infestation pit you just made, Wall it up outside and make a little maze to break line of sight. Then fill the room with wooden floor. So when the infestation hit you can throw a molotov on the ground from the door and lit those bugs on fire! Other trick is to put a incendiary IED in the center of the room so it does the job automatically with the wooden floor! Secondly, all those organs can be sold to outlander traders, so you might want to fix relationships with them first if you broke it! Lucky you, you can gift them organs to fix it faster LOLOLOL The more expensive the better the fix, i get +15 per heart! Thirdly, when you get to make the ship, you will get raided every day for 15 days during the ship power-up, if you don't prepare for that, this will be the end , shit get rrrrrrreally gnarly during the full season power-up! I lost my last 2 colonies diring that period! Fourth, bionics added to colonist counts toward colony wealth. So before putting tons of bionics, make sure you have your defence bolstered up, you will get harder raids. Hope it helps! Loving the series! RIP Torso and the hand! Peace!

Hey man, don't know if you will see this comment, but I am currently stuck inside my home in China (foreigner living in China), while this new coronavirus rages around me, I currently subsist on one boiled potato a day, wormman has given me the inspiration to keep me going though this difficult time, and your videos are helping me not be insanely bored while basically being in citywide quarantine. Keep the vids coming!

Also, look into "Stripmining patterns" so you don't spend forever trying to find ore in the deep mountain... Also, putting Explosive Traps in the "strip mine" areas will help a bit with infestations. And putting flammable wood in there will help with bugs too... Just saying. Bugs are not all that hard to deal with.

Shocking Ik, it wont fix that zoning problem, because that would hurt more then help, im sure u get it, but colonist will clean rooms they will work or sleep in beforehand and other neat things! Oh btw about my dying, gotmyself checked and stuff, this wont heal for 6 months but thats okay, i dont like to do sports anyways :D Keep up the good work Amphibian! You rock!

Separating batteries is good for preventing exploding batteries from damaging more batteries, but short circuits are much more common. A short circuit will drain all energy from all batteries connected to the same circuit, no matter the distance. You can prevent short circuits from depleting batteries by reinstalling full batteries off of the circuit and putting them back on when the short circuits happen. You can also put batteries behind a switch and turn the switch off. Once the short circuit happens, turn the switch back on so you can have power again. From what I can tell, most people prefer the reinstall method.

Here's an idea for a playthrough: Create a colony of people who are incapable of violence. You wouldn't be able to beat up people who have mental breaks and you would have to rely on traps, turrets and animals to deal with threats, but you wouldn't have to focus on shooting and melee skills, giving you a lot of extra time on your other skills.

Ah yes, just before bed I need to think about people harvesting unconscious peoples' organs!
