You can see the perspective of the battle of Berlin from the Soviet side in the song Attero Dominatus. Both songs together and their histories gives a great look of the battle of Berlin and the end of the europe part of the war. Walther Wenck (12th army commander) and Theodor Busse (9th army commander) survive both the war and pass the Nuremberg trials without troubles. Both commanders save a lot of civilians and soldiers in the last days of the war. Wenck even be responsable at one stage, to be feeding more than a quarter of a million people every day. Nice to see sabaton made a song to keep the memory of that soldiers in the last part of the war. The part of the 9nd army soldiers being deported to the soviets is so bizarre.

My favorite song off of Heroes

one of the worst things about the battle of berlin which you will never hear talked about is from a soldiers recount. men, women and children some dressed as soldiers. wounded men, elderly and others gathered where they thought the outbreak was to happen....however they had been lied to and the true outbreak was happening elsewhere. still the thousands of desperate Berliners wanted to get out of berlin. so they pressed forward with the attempt. so desperate were the people that as they ran forward, the russian troops and tanks gunned them down- they would run back. and try again, and again, and again. each time being gunned down by the russians. after a few hours only the mortally wounded and stragglers were left. one can only imagine seeing everyday desperate people throwing themselves into a hail of fire repeatedly in a pointless attempt to get away from the horrors of war.

Long live Germany. Did you know that in every single conflict, be it air or land... the germans inflicted 50% more casualties than their opponents? They were a vastly better military with more conviction. A very sad war with European brothers fightning eachother and errors committed on all sides. Like always it's the young men and civilians who take the damage, not the leaders. And btw, 3 milllion german women were r4p3d when they lost Berlin, by the Soviets. It's never spoken about almost.
