fred chet Got to agree Dave C. Is the best...effigy is great and the live I looked up had Dave on the drums and it was sick. You hear him on Malevolent Creation album Eternal? He was only 19 on that album.

When Effigy of the Forgotten came out, Mike Smith's blast beats and drumming were groundbreaking. No one had faster double bass. His drumming blew my mind then And allowed for the rest of suffocation to play that fast .Mike Smith is due every accolade and he deserves it.

@@errolsullivan2904 Funny thing is kicks are triggered on Effigy, though Mike never used triggers live. It was merely for the ease of mixing fast runs.

@@Admiral_Bongo Most if not all of the Morrisound Studios stuff has heavy use of samples (especially kick) on the drums.
