I think the best things you can do: make sure your clothes are iron, clean and same for shoes and good grooming. You just want to look your best overall, but extra special for an interview.

Not really. Have a good jacket/blazer that fits you well and wear it with a nice pair of slacks or a skirt/dress. With a couple of wardrobe basics, you can do a lot. It's all in the FIT and the accessories. :o) Look for 'sales' or shop at consignment stores.

@@FnanTeklay I didn't have a lot of money but I went shopping to a second hand store and I found amazing bargans and styles that went perfect for my shape and I got the job! Now, I'm able to aford brand new clothing and I am so happy you made this video.

Wow!!! this is so so amazing Fnan!! I liked it so much :) by the way, when I saw the title of the video, I said that I will write in the comment after watching the video that " Please, Fnan can you do a video for men " ^_^ and you said and you uploaded one, and I'm gonna watch it. But i was so so busy these 2 weeks that's why I didn't watch the videos, but I saved them on the tab since they were uploaded to watch them later. I like your advice but I disagree with a couple of things. As a former Image Consultant myself, I would never recommend wearing RED to an interview. Also, simple pumps in a darker color and NO perfumes.

I agree, the color red is not for everybody, due to its dominating quality. I will create another video describing how to wear the color red for an interview so that its qualities can support your mission and not the contrary. A hint of red is required for women who wish to make a strong statement, especially for important positions. I agree on no perfume as well. Thank you so much for watching, Laura!

I wore a red embroidered long "tunic" shirt with stylish pants to an interview. I probably would have got the job if I hadn't said that I was only available on weekends. However, a few weeks after my interview, the company closed the particular location where I would have been working. When I wear red, I limit it to my top or pants or only as a lip color unless it's a dress since it's such a bright bold color.

is wearing all black okay? I'm on a really low budget and this is my first interview and I'm not sure how to dress since I don't have most on the things to go for a classy look. Would a navy blue dress that rests just above the knee be okay?

Ri Ri Yes! A navy blue dress that rests just above the knee is a better option than an all black look. Keep your accessories simple, dark/nude shoes, simple makeup, sleek hair and you’re good to go! ❤️ Good luck on your interview! You got this

Hi I'm not qualified to answer but I'd assume not. Id say to go for something that's a lot liek your natural lip colour just to keep it safe. :)

Hi Makeba ♥️ universally speaking, I'd avoid dark lip color and opt for natural browns. Just to be sure I'd quickly do a search on the culture of the company. If it's reserved, then natural colors are ideal. If the job requires you to look good, go for the dark brown and dark plum. 😉

Hi there, I just watched your video for a class and I have a question. I am really short with an athletic build. I can never find skirts or pants that fit properly. Could you help me address this? Also, what if we don't have the money for a manicure, jewelry, and purses? I know it is at the risk of being basic, but what if that is all we can afford?

I hope I can help you a bit with this! For skirts and pants, I would advise going with something that fits you well at least in the hips, and get it tailored in the waist/get it hemmed if necessary. If you can't afford a tailor, then I would advise getting a needle and some matching thread and try your hand at fitting it yourself. There are plenty of fantastic tutorials on youtube on making fit alterations that you can easily do at home! Far as things like manicures, I would advise at the least having a nail file and clear nail polish. Ensure that your nails are filed to the same length and shape, then top them with a coat of clear nail polish. If you can't afford the nail polish, then just ensuring your nails are well shaped with a nail file is just fine. For jewelry, it's not necessary if you don't own or don't like wearing jewelry. If you are looking for some nice cheap jewelry though, I advise looking at second hand stores and yard sales. The same goes for a nice structured purse. The purse is good to have at the least to carry your things, and it is usually quite easy to find a nice structured purse at second hand stores or yard sales. I hope this helps!

An overall white look might make a big statement so I would suggest to avoid that. But just the white blazer or a white blouse paired with different color trouser is a good way to go!
