Fascinating documentary. My Dad David Manning Hanschell, was an an employee of Caroni Ltd ( subsidiary of Tate &Lyle Ltd) from 1955-1970.Our family lived in company accommodation at Water loo Estate, Carapachaima, and latterly at Brechin Castle ,Couva. He would be so pleased to see this inspired vision of it's former employees and The Ministry of Tourism become a reality where generations of a different era contributed to the Nation of Trinidad &Tobago.

This is an excellent proposal which I hope is carried through to fruition. The Brechin Castle site has been long left in state of disrepair. What a wonderful way of preserving an integral part of Trinidad's history.

If the gov of trinidad would have know that 10 years later after closing of caroni in 2002, the demand of caroni rum - especially in europe - would rapidly increase, I bet that caroni wouldn't have been closed. It's so sad to know that there won't be anymore new rum from this destillery...

Threr was a park and pond and ai think a golf course. Make the location for also upscale tourism for rest and relaxation More money, less traffic The money from the hotel can help support the museum
