i love how manic this song is, it’s almost retro-ish. It’s unfittingly cinematic, yet it definitely plays into his ego

this feels less like an escape theme but it screams the energy of "They beat me down, but look at me now!" like it's almost a comparison of how anxious and stressed he was as peppino vs the raw insanity and almost freedom of the pizzano

Quick reminder: Peppino has a phobia of timers. This theme is pure torture for him.

THIS IS NOT A HEADCANON I love how in the scrapped canon, Pizzano emerged when Noise destroyed his former self's pizzeria and descended into madness, thus highlighting that Peppino changed entirely from mad to downright lunatic, basically embracing Noise's chaotic demeanor and mixing it with war PTSD to make pure madness. Also, Pizzelle in the scrapped canon was just the Noise, who got his head smashed so hard by Peppino's unraveled wrath that his brain completely rebooted and suddenly regained senses and became a "normal" guy.

Pizzano glitching out on the TV is actually him tapping on the TV glass. You aren't supposed to do that at zoos, but he's not listening to a sign.

I can imagine Pizzano having flashbacks from Pizza Time, the TV and escape timer would start phasing in and out with Pizza Tower's stuff, and then Pizzaface would chase you instead when the time is up.

The cuckoo clock sounds are so damn good. I don’t know why people say this doesn’t fit, this fits the wacky goofball of Pizzano to a T.

The beginning hits the most with the clock ticking

Pizzano is basically Peppino deciding to double down on the wario reference, all while being the silliest fellow around. Please let him be playable in the final version of this wonderful game.

Kind of like how this whole song is like a complete inversion to Pizza Time. Where the former is essentially a count down to an ominous force of nature that you must escape from by the skin of your teeth. Meanwhile this song is more like build up to the main character unleashing havoc upon the environment around him just to get to the place he desired to reach.

this could work as a final boss theme, the escape theme, and the lap 2 escape theme all at the same time for how good it sounds

You know what i love about this, the cucko clock sound in the background. The cartoony representation of total madnes incorporated into a song about a person gone completely mad.

I just noticed something. In the lore, noise (pizzele) is now a protagonist, and now has the colour white in his costume (like peppino) and peppino (pizzano) is now an antagonist, and instead of just being a colour swap to show how they’ve kinda switched roles, pizzano has a blue costume, not yellow. I think the reason why it’s blue is that it’s a reference to how peppino was wearing blue in the sage 2019 build.

This song isn’t as a GET OUT!!! Type vibe, I feel like it’s because pizzano knows he can do it since, well he’s done it before multiple times from the events of pizza tower, and we know pizzelle is the noise and peppino is pizzano and vice versa, He’s no longer anxious, he’s PROUD.

When I played as Pizzano I LOVED this theme, it even combines because he can fly with his fist like Superman, I use it for the WIP LEVELS

something i haven't seen anyone point out yet is the prominence of the clock in this song. there's the cuckoo clock sounds and the tolling of bells alongside the constant ticking that kicks in in the second half. i find it interesting because, in pizza time and glucose getaway, the sound of the clock is supposed to add onto the songs' respective feelings of anxiety, but blue licorice is a song that invokes unbridled confidence. i think it's meant to convey that pizzano isn't just unfazed by the impending doom, he revels in it.

This theme feels like it would fit in a videogame ending where the main character has to escape a big structure before dying, but the character feels so full of adrenaline and fear that it only concentrates on escaping asap and leaving everyone else to die.
