Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Dean Pleasants talks about the city-sanctioned Mike Muir mural that was unveiled in Los Angeles' Arts District - a far cry from being banned in L.A., though the celebratory gig they played was shut down. He also discusses his experience on the Warped Tour (in 1999), where they would "get up there like a tornado and just do our thing," even if they hadn't showered or brushed their teeth. He explains the reasoning behind their 'Get Your Fight On!' EP (featuring an acoustic version of the title track called "Get Your Right On!" featuring Travis Barker of blink-182 and The Transplants, plus their first ever cover - of "I Got a Right" by The Stooges) and hints at their latest LP 'Still Cyco Punk After All These Years,' which he calls "a full punk rock record." He also touches on playing solos with feeling and the connection between other bands he's played in with Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo (Infectious Grooves, Cyco Miko, etc.). Interview conducted July 25 outside of Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre, where they (alongside Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman) played with Sick of It All.
