I just listened to the JL audio logs. They make the JL look even dumber because of how they handled Brainiac’s invasion. They all get captured because Superman wanted to be friendly to a skull looking ship. Dudes an investigative reporter, yet came to the conclusion that the evil looking skull ship might be chill. Even Batman knew it was a trap but still went through with it.

It should have just been another universe entirely. I mean, they completely made up so much of Harley's backstory for no reason in this so it might as well be. From what the games show us, Harley had next to no relationship with Ivy, she was obsessed with Joker. This game acts as though Joker meant nothing to her. Hell, outside of the obvious callbacks to the past games, for the characters the past games don't exist. None of them bother to adhere to the Arkham canon and especially the huge middle finger by Rocksteady. I don't know how they thought that after a game where Batman fights mental manipulation to NOT become a murdering psychopath they think that what fans would want to see is him becoming a murdering psychopath offscreen. As you mentioned at the beginning of the video, I do believe if they had wanted to make this a "multi-universal" game, have the Squad land in the Arkham universe for a brief moment and have Arkham!Batman loan them a copy of his contingency plans on how to take out the league. Another idea I had was making all of the villains amalgamations of heroes/villains throughout the muliverse, and the final boss being the Batman Who Laughs... cause with how overexposed he's become, I bet people would have zero problem killing him.

Everyone feels so dumbed down. One thing that comes to mind was when Batman was captured, they have him randomly start saying the “I am Vengeance” line like a joke. It made no sense at all in the context of the scene. Stuff like that shows how out of touch these writers are with the material they are using. It really loves making Batman look like a joke.

This is the biggest issue with them making this cannon to the Arkham games. In Arkham Knight, the big plot point of the whole thing was that Batman had to face his fear of becoming the Joker. He knew he was capable of killing every villain, but refused to go down that road because he'd be no better than Joker. At the end of the game, him beating Scarecrow was because he overcame his fears and beat his manipulation with pure will power. So what do they do in Suicide Squad with that same Batman? They turn him into a murdering psycho who is killing everyone he cares about because his willpower isn't great enough to fight off Brainiac's manipulation........

Shouldn't be canon. To me, it feels like there was alot of patchwork to make this canon. Deadshots race, Batmans personality/costume, and Harley's sudden character shift among other things. Not to mention it killed off two essential characters to the Arkham-verse(Tim Drake and Bruce Wayne). This universe overall works best when it's Batman/Gotham centric because, suprise, thats what it was intended to be.

No, it shouldn't be canon at all. From the moment all the leaks turned out to be true, I've just resigned to myself that Arkham Knight's Knightfall Protocol ending is my head-canon ending for this Arkhamverse. Whatever stuff SSKTJL says happened afterwards, well, they don't exist in my canon (regardless of what Rocksteady says lol). Also, is it just me, or did SSKTJL just give the strong impression that they're ashamed of the Arkham games that came before (Esp. Arkham Knight)? Take that Harley locker scene for example. She sees her old Arkham Knight suit and slams the locker shut in disgust. This game should've been batman coming out of the shadows to save the justice league and the world from brainiac. I'm not sure if this should've been when he officially met them all, or if he should have a similar relationship with them how he does in this game where the justice league becomes a new revival for batman. Maybe wonderwoman is still the one not taken over from brainiacs control, so you can switch between both of them similar to how you switch in this game. Then, you unlock the rest of the justice league as you progress through the story and take them down. Then the end game content could be relatively the same, where you need to take down justice leagues or even legions of doom taken over by brainiac. Then take down brainiac. I don't know, that probably came out as a jumbled mess, but hopefully it got my point across. Love your videos man.

This game should absolutely not be in the Arkham universe in my opinion. Because in order to kill Batman, they had to null, nerf and dumb down an already established Batman legendary for defying all odds thrown at him in a single night, 4 times.

I don’t know if anyone can answer this for me. This is a legitimate question and if possible, I would like to know the answer. Has RockSteady responded or acknowledged on any level the backlash and terrible reviews since the game’s release? Did they publicly explain no giving review codes, or exactly what they even did with alllllllll that extra time they got due to delays? I feel like we deserve an explanation on why they did this. We all know why, we all know that the motivation was to essentially squeeze as much money as possible out of the Fanbase, regardless of the repercussions. We know this, but I want to hear it directly from them. They were bold enough to put this dog shit of a game out, then they should be equally bold enough to face our response.

I understand these guys are villains, but they’re tonally different ranging minor to no roles they were establish prior. King Shark and Captain Boomerang where the hell did they came from? Did we get bios of them? Furthermore, who are that familiar with them? Instead of expanding the Arkhamverse with The Justice League individually, we get them brainwashed with a lame task to kill them as boring ass villains. The damage is done. In my opinion we need a reboot altogether or just a new Batman game with zero connection to the Arkham universe. They need to move on. You said it yourself. Batman is going to be fine no matter what. The problem with Suicide Squad is that no one asks for it, and it’s not 2016-2021 anymore. They destroyed bright future continuity chances by making a villain spinoff a full blown successor to Arkham Knight. To me, let go of the past entirely. And focus on making amazing single player superhero icons with the Batman Arkham treatment. Not like Arkham, just give the level of love for Superman or Flash. WB Games took every wrong turn they could. Gotham Knights should have been the next Arkhamverse game (although with great restructuring story-wise) because it was the only direction possible for a Batman related game, but instead they made a totally unrelated Suicide Squad game set in that universe that even contradicts and ignores previously established lore. It would've been better if they left that universe to rest in peace after Arkham Knight to focus on something different.

Well in my canon Batman is still in Gotham as Nightmare Batman and he didn't join Justice League and he never will.Batfamily is protecting Gotham and Gordon is Mayor.Alfred is somewhere in England living his best life with his new family and Bruce is in new Batcave under the Arkham watching over Gotham from shadows.There I fixed Arkhamverse ending until someone who actually cares for this universe comes and makes a good continuation in the future.😄

And like you said it would have only worked if this took place in its own universe, and if it's after arkham knight, they shouldn't have put batman in it since we play as him in all 4 arkham games. It really should have been it's own thing. This game didn't even feel like it was connected, the harley was different. People even said she felt like a margot robbie quinn and not the Arkham Quinn. And by brother deadshot was black, and their excuse was a lame "the deadshot from the past games was a fake! " excuse. This is also the first time we see anything about Superman and the league being in the verse other than easter eggs hinting to them. And they just get killed off in lame ways, and we never got a game to showcases truly who the league is.

The Arkham series should’ve ended with Arkham Knight. If it had to continue then it should have been built around Nightwing, Robin or Batman Beyond. Nightwing and Robin are both already in the Arkham games and could’ve been built upon whereas Batman beyond would have been similar to the prior games but with a whole range of different villains for you to fight in Neo Gotham. Hell, even if they wanted to do the whole ‘kill the justice league’ thing they could’ve given you better characters to play as. Boomerang, Deadshot and Quinn are trash as protagonists as they are all just humans, Yet they are meant to beat Flash, Green Lantern, Superman and Batman who are all out to kill. Give us villains on par with the heroes or better yet just scrap the whole idea.

I would just like to mention, the game absolutely has a lot of problems and overall is far from great, but I've seen some really weird criticisms from some people (not you) that don't make sense. Some people saying "women aren't allowed to show skin or allowed to be hot" and dumb things like that, which is just so stupid. Like, The game has legit criticisms and some people are just using as an excuse to just spew nonsense. There are other people using Kevin Conroy's death to justify their hate when while the game might not be very respectful to Arkham Batman, it still in no way diminishes the impact Kevin Conroy has had on Batman in general. I'm not really a fan of this game, but that doesn't change the fact that when you criticise something you should do it legitimately and not just as a way to get angry clicks. I am not saying you are one of them and in fact your reviews have been some of the most honest and fair criticisms I've heard about the game. It's just that there are others like that idiot sexist Kwing idiot saying the stupidest complaints.

In my own head canon, Damian is born few years before the events of Arkham Asylum but Talia is hiding him from the League of Assassins and Bruce. After her death in Arkham City, Damian is taken and raised by Zatanna. After Arkham knight, she tells him that Batman is his father and he is dead. Damian begin his training to become the new Batman in the Arkham universe. This is how this universe continued in my head.
