I’m incredibly disgusted that entire reason why the JL got captured was cause Superman wanted to speak Brainiac in good faith by going in with the entire League with no plan at all if things go south and they all just accept that and went along with. They literally could’ve sent in a drone to speak with him or just Superman and Flash to do the communication. Good Faith doesn’t mean no plan at all. What an incredibly awful insult to all these characters’s intelligence, especially Arkham Batman.

Tara Strong hasn’t been a good voice for Harley since Arkham City. She’s so whiny and has this up-and-down rhythm. There’s a phoniness to the voice. Arleen Sorkin is perfect obviously, but as far as replacements go Hynden Walch was much better. Kari Whalgren did a fine job recently.

Long ass rant incoming so I apologize in advance, but man, whatever ideas the writing team had, they clearly didn't realize how incompetent they ended up making the League, Waller/ARGUS and Brainiac look. Quite an achievement really. So Brainiac captures most of the League because they were all too stupid to use common sense and not use caution when meeting him. NONE of Earth's heroes could free them or defeat Brainiac. The League, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Huntress, Black Canary, Constantine, Azreal, Creeper, Aquaman, Booster Gold, Wildcat, Batwoman and a host of other heroes that are confirmed to exist in the Arkhamverse, NONE could stop Brainiac apparently or even attempt to. And the League ends up losing, DYING to a group of 4 normies with guns. And they have so far managed to do what no hero was able to do with all of their powers, tech and experience. Defeat Brainiac. Twice. Amanda Waller, in her infinite brilliance, in order to take the fight to a brainwashed JL and Brainiac decides NOT to hire/coerce metahumans or villains who had anti-metahuman gear like Captain Cold, Heatwave, Atomic Skull, Silver Banshee, Sonar, Goldface, Killer Frost, Livewire, Parasite, Neutron, Weather Wizard, Rampage, Bloodsport, Major Disaster, Cheetah, Giganta, Mirror Master or literally anyone that can have a believable fighting chance against Superman, Green Lantern, Flash and Wonder Woman. No, she chose Shark dude, boomerang man, gun guy, clown girl and now elseworlds clown guy. Brilliant. In no universe are they a believable threat to the League or Brainiac, no matter how much the game bends over backwards to make them come out on top. Brainiac. My god, Brainiac. This guy captured the League. Brainwashed them. Defeated any hero that tried to battle him (if any of them did). Annihilated most of the inhabitants of Metropolis. Yet somehow can't wipe out 4 schmucks with guns. And got his ass kicked by those 4 normies with guns twice. And if the game hadn't bombed and they were able to release 12 seasons, that would mean that these 4 nobodies would've beaten him AT LEAST 11 times. There's a reason Brainiac is a Superman/Justice League level threat in the comics. If all it took was 4 dudes with guns to beat him, he'd be on the same level as the fucking Electrocutioner. I wanted to love this game, flaws and all, but the creative and business decisions frustrate me to no end. Why move to Metropolis if over half the cast are from Gotham or variations thereof? Why kill Lex Luthor just to replace him with an Elseworlds version when we haven't even gotten time to get to know the Arkham Luthor? Is he as much of a scumbag here as he is in the comics? Better? Worse? Why does the Squad hate, mock and belittle every hero except Wonder Woman? Where did Harley's fangirling of her come from? WHY is she fangirling over her? She still happily and smugly talks about murder and bodycounts, so its not like being away from Joker has slowly made her a better person, so why the WW love? Why waste manpower and resources writing up long ass biographies for the irrelevant, useless and boring ARGUS goons who don't contribute to the story or plot or anything, when you could've written up some Metropolis City Stories or something to flesh out the Arkham DCU outside of Gotham? What were Superman, WW, GL and Flash up to while Batman was doing his thing? What villains have they fought? What events have they been through? What adventures have they been on since they became the League? These ARGUS clowns getting these bios is like if all the GCPD, Arkham Guards, medical staff and firefighters from previous games each got their own bio. And they were MORE involved and interesting than these background nobodies! Whatever the case, they better unfuck the storyline by season 5 (which has been stated is where they'll finish the story) so we can get a proper game set in this verse that isn't this mess.

The best part of this game, at least in my opinion, is King Shark being a Green Lantern for just a few seconds

squad didn't really interest me but i was hoping we would see so much more of the league, like the conversation between batman and wonder woman, i'm very disappointed in that regard because they gave us nothing about them, maybe they were hiding their hands because they thought that the game's lifespan would be much longer and updates would come continually, i guess we kinda know that will not happen since WB told us that the game performed lower than their expectation

Just noticed that deadshot in the game isn’t from this universe.

Rocksteady created the Justice League perfectly and faithfully to the comics (before Brainiac's Invasion) . No one can deny that the studio that made the Arkham saga has adapted more heroes ; Flash adapted with his powers and fun personality, Green Lantern with creating things with her ring and saying her oath, Wonder Woman with the whip and sword she also looks like a Greek warrior and the best is Superman ( SUPERMAN). The stories about them that they tell through a hologram in the Hall of Justice, their powers and in some scenes I said WOW "since before several games I had were difficult but here they did it" I also liked the detail that they call each other friends it's cute . I hope they make prequel or sequel games since it has a lot of potential (but without the company Sweet baby inc) 🙏💙😢

Most people seem to think that the the badly received story-line moments, such as the universally panned death scenes of the brainwashed Justice League, and Deadshot getting a Race Lift, happened because Rocksteady had narrative consultancy agency Sweet Baby Inc write the story instead of them. Actually, Sweet Baby Inc joined development of the game after the story was written to make in-game ads, audio logs, and NPC barks,, so things like Boomerang trying to piss on Flash's corpse and Harley unceremoniously shooting Batman were conceived by Rocksteady itself and did not happen because of outsourcing. The one thing Sweet Baby might be able to be blamed for is the controversial backstory moment where Superman convinced the rest of the League to try to negotiate with Brainiac since that is told in audio logs, but whatever happens in the cut-scenes in the game isn't by them

Man I’m replaying Arkham knight right now for the platinum and it feels like a massive breath of fresh air so much better than this mid game imma re sell it soon

this Superman feels weird to me, like oddly naive? I’m assuming Krypton was destroyed in this universe by brainiac, and Superman at this point has his suit meaning he had the whole “your planet was destroyed by brainiac you must defend earth” speech, so why is Superman like “let’s hear this brainiac guy out he might have peaceful intentions!” Just feels… off

I see a lot of people calling Wonder Woman stupid, but everyone needs to know: Wonder Woman is constantly on the verge of collapse. She's obviously closest to Batman in this game, so can you imagine how she felt when she saw the carnage scene in Wayne's bank, I highly doubt she cried. But she still didn't give up, and I think her character development was very good.

IMO I don't think the writing in this game overall is that bad (certainly has its flaws, but not terrible), but damn you can really tell when the hired help put their fingers into the project. Like, in game Lex Luthor sounds true to his character, but when you read his debriefs on various character where he talks about "generational wealth" and "toxic masculinity", that's when shit sticks out like a sore thumb. It's like Rocksteady wrote the main script and then had groups like Sweet Baby Inc PC-ify certain aspects.

Yeah honestly I'm one of those people who say that Gotham Knight should have been the next Batman Arkham game instead of this, but I do give this game the utmost respect and credit because it truly lives up to the title. Honestly I'm glad they actually killed most of the Justice League instead of the usual cliche turn around sing where they try to get rid of Vril's control over them and they team up to take him down. I'm also one of the smart Batman fans that is not upset that he died, I'm upset with how he died: Shot to his armored forehead instead of exposed mouth😊
