This is the army battle versus Kiba and Klaus. You start this battle out numbered but as always Shu has a plan. NOTE: After this battle your castle becomes level 3.

I loved the part where Ridley showed up, the whole thing of Ridley grumbling and leaving the battlefield before was actually a brilliant ruse. He and Shu conspired together to bring Kiba's unit to heel and it worked. The fact that the Windamiers so readily joined as soon as they found out Agares was slain was the icing on this delicious cake. Kiba then later died a true hero in sacrificing himself so Riou and the New State Army could escape.

Kiba was extremely loyal to the Agrias and hated Luca. His defection makes complete sense.

@@MasterofConquest indeed, he swore fealty to Agares, not Luca. He knew what a psychotic motherfucker Luca was, especially after Luca sent Agares' head in a package and Klaus opened it. Shu thought two steps ahead, hence why the New State Army was able to win. People say he was a terrible tactician but he wasn't, if anything he was like Zhuge Liang, always thinking of how the next move or two should play out. Klaus was no slouch either, I would say he was akin to Pang Tong, a great tactician but one who wasn't quite at full maturity yet. He foresaw many things but didn't see the third party getting involved. God, I love this game and I can't wait to replay it next year when the HD remasters hit all consoles. I hope they get a physical release. They deserve it.

It's a warrior shame to change master but i will take that shame men that was really good speech and did Luca just send his father head to Riou ? because i feel it sounds like extreme and that makes Kiba changes his mind quickly.

It shows that Luca Blight was not only now the leader of Highland but also a psychopath. Kiba switched sides because he was loyal to the father.

Yeah to bad Luca die half way in the story gonna be bad ass if he was the final boss and after defeating him, our protagonist duel him in one on one battle.

After this, we never see Rowd again. It sucks because if there's any Highlande officer that deserved to die, it was him.

I think it was theorized that he was one of the groups that got destroyed.

That's possible. I also remember if you return to Kyaro at the end, someone says they heard a rumor that Rowd fled to the south.

Might be late reply but according to suikodenwiki Rowd had a blind younger sister in sajah village who desperately needed an operation to her eyes which was expensive to do that is why he joined the highland army and was such a shitty captain who didnt care about nobody he was desperate to save his younger sibling. When Jowy became king of highland he fled the country obviously out of fear of repercussions from Jowy and went south to the toran republic because he heard rumors of a doctor there who could help him, referring to liukan from suikoden 1

@@oggregster I remember reading about that. Although I believe his sister was in Kyaro. You see her the first time there. But if you go back at the end of the game, she's gone.

Master of Conquest you are wrong luca blight unit has highest defence.there are actually few ways how to deal 3 sword damage to luca blight unit.just search videos in youtube.
